You’re invited to pawticipate in the very first Doggust Howl-O-Ween Event: a Great Dane sized Dog Art Collaboration with EVERYDOGGIE in creating a HOWL-O-WEEN DOGSTUME PAWTY ILLUSTRATION!

How to Attend the Pawty (aka Pawticipate):

1. Draw a dog in an sort of costume

2. Add a pumpkin in there somewhere

3. Edit/Save/Export as a PNG with a >>Transparent Background<<

4. Upload the file here ->

Access Google Forms with a personal Google account or Google Workspace account (for business use).

From there we (@dogsinaugust) will compile everyone’s dogs into ONE BIG PUPTACULAR COLLAGE! The Ultimate Doggust Howl-O-Ween Dogstume Pawty!

Important Guidelines for the Dog Attendees in the post above! This probably deserves it’s own post but I just want to put everything up so everyone has enough time to prep!

Last day for submissions/uploads is going to be on the 23rd of October (but you can start submitting/uploading as early as now if you want!)

The final Howl-O-Ween Dogstume Pawty Collage will be posted on the 31st of October! A downloadable version of the file will be accessible to those who attend the pawty (participate)!

The first of June brings… A Doggust Announcement!

In addition to it being All Stars this year, we’re introducing a little something else…

August 1st is the Universal Birthday of Dogs from Rescues whose birthdays are unknown.

In light of that, Day 1 of Doggust will now be for Mutts/Rescues/Mixed-Breed Dogs.

Mutts are called different things in different places. To kick things off we’re going to be looking at the Aspin.

Aspins (or Askals) are the dogs from the Philippines that have no discernible “breed.”

They’re usually found in shelters/rescues or more commonly, on the streets. Askal is derived from ‘asong kalye’ which literally means “street dog.”

Because of the negative connotations with the term askal, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) championed the new term, aspin, from ‘asong pinoy’ - which means “Filipino Dog.”

*A portion of the proceeds from the Pooch Pouches will be donated to PAWS!

Aspin is now the term that’s used to describe one of the most intelligent, friendliest, and affectionate doggos in the world.
