jangmi !
with only a month to go till she pushes her two watermelons— er, babies— out and into this beautiful magical world. was she excited? yes. was she terrified? also yes. jangmi was so emotional she felt everything all at once. oh the joy. there were so many things she couldn’t control with her body like her bladder, the soreness, the stretching, but mostly her mouth. she was more chatty now for some reason. “you know, sometimes i don’t even remember what my toes look like,” she sighed, placing her hands on her stomach. “this too big to see anything below it. also it’s so hot these days too and i wanna wear a crop top but i’ll end up looking like winnie the pooh— sorry, im rambling. you probably didn’t need to know that,” jangmi said sheepishly.
university was hectic. really hectic. so hectic she barely had any time for fun, which really was what she constantly aimed for in everything she did. she plopped onto a park bench with a sigh, wanting to take a short break from the routine of home to school and school to home and so on and so forth. but doha was oblivious, too deep in her meandering thoughts, to realise that she was sitting next to another person until they spoke up. ‘ ...oh, ’ she frowned, going through the other’s words in her head. ‘ but winnie the pooh is cute... so that means unnie would look really cute too, right? it doesn’t matter what other people think! being pregnant is hard work, after all, so unnie should be able to do what she wants. ’ her logic in itself might have been flawed and perhaps a tad bit too forceful but doha didn’t know of any other way to persuade people. she turned to face her bench partner, wide-eyed and grinning. ‘ ohhhhh, my brother says i need to learn to shut up so you aren’t alone in that. ’
