I'm really sorry, but I need to throw my 2 cents for this one, enough is enough.
You'd think she'd wanna say this directly to her instead of privately revealing it to someone she barely even knows. Is she not her best friend? What reason would she have to keep this hidden from her? After all, she had no issues admitting right in Meulin's face that she tried to kill her, this should have been even easier, no?
The reason is because she's being insincere, otherwise her behaviour towards her would have been very different: she had no problem putting her hand over her mouth and completely trash her planned exposition by giving an awfully abridged version, and then procedeed to make fun of her when she rightfully protested. All this while in front of a crowd of people, mind you. AND before that she even dismissed how Aranea was waiting literal eons just to see her again:
Still in front of everyone.
Or that time she visibly yawned when Aranea started talking about cherubs (granted, it wasn't the first time she was talking about them on the ship, but does she not love listening to her regardless, as she claims?).
8y the way, you might wanna include what she said immediatly afterwards in that very pesterlog you posted:
So despite having known Vriska for far less then she did Aranea, she's already on the same, if not a higher pedestal in terms of respect? Are they not supposed to be best friends? Aranea certainly thought so, but did Meenah? The answer is no.
Her only real compliment she has for Aranea is that she's become more unscrupolous, which suggests me she would have had even LESS good things to say if she didn't.
And don't even get me started on this whole scene:
You can point to me all the moments where she SEEMS more friendly to her during Openbound that you want, none of it will ever outwheight the equally as plenty, if not larger amount of, red flags. Fuchsia flag.

Please do not take this as a personal attack, you I'm reblogging this from. But I really, REALLY dislike arameen, and it's so frustrating that this is clearly a hot take among fellow Aranea fans.
