This right here is what I call a masterpiece 👩🏼🍳🤤😍👌🏼 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bar (warmed up & gooey) + Vanilla Bean Halo Top. You MUST try. _____________________________________ This is what I would consider 1 out of my 5 meals per day. One tip I like to give to my fellow flexible dieters is to eat a quest bar with something high in sugar because all of the fiber in the bar will slow down the digestion process, therefore the whole reason the world thinks sugar is so "evil" is eliminated. This isn't even the best example for this because @halotopcreamery is so low in sugar anyways. It's basically a win/win from all aspects 💁🏼 #flexibledieting #halotop #questbars (at Jenks, Oklahoma)
Failing is apart of the process. It's rather or not you choose to get back up that sets you apart ✌🏼 (at Tulsa, Oklahoma)
That six-weeks-out body is one of my favorite looks for me personally during this process. Definitely fit but not scrawny or depleted. The big changes I'll see over the next few weeks will not be maintainable (I'm estimating to lose another 5-7lbs from now) and is only done to get to stage leanness. One of the biggest mistakes I see 1st time competitors make post show is they expect to maintain their weight (at least somewhat) and then they get extremely upset/depressed when it piles back on quickly. The body was not meant to stay that lean year round (at least for 99% of the population) therefor you shouldn't force it. My goal post show is to get back to THIS look and maintain that as much as possible while slowly going back into my normal & maintainable lifestyle with minimal cardio and of course, wine 😬🍷🤗 #icoulduseaglass #butabs (at Tulsa, Oklahoma)
Sorry for the lack of posts & prep updates that I usually love to share, but I've been busy workin on myself. _____________________________________________ A lot of females have asked me if they could train like a bikini competitor but without actually getting on stage & still have the same results. I used to think that might be possible for some type A individuals...but I've recently come to the conclusion that no, I would not recommend trying to do so. It seems that for the most part, all that's shown on social media are the good parts. The abs, the glute gains, the photoshoots, the trophies...but not many show the downsides and the sacrifices it takes to get to that stage. I won't elaborate on that part because Instagram won't allow posts to be that long, but my main point is that if you're going to the extremes to diet like a bikini competitor JUST for your physical appearance, than something is wrong with your confidence and you need to focus your attention on that instead. Those who take this sport seriously aren't doing it just for the looks, there's so much more to it that drives them to finish the marathon of a prep diet. There has to be or else they wouldn't get to the end. Though many try to have as much balance as possible while prepping, in the big picture this sport really is the opposite of balance. What I'm getting at is if you're training like a bikini competitor ONLY for your physical appearance, you won't get there. And you shouldn't. That state of leanness isn't healthy or maintainable long-term anyways. Plus, when does it stop? When you reach your goal weight? But then what? Good luck maintaining it and still being able to enjoy your life ever again. I love this sport. It's changed who I am made me stronger than I ever thought I could be (both mentally & physically). But I also love my life when I'm not dieting for a show. I look forward to the days where I don't have to spend 3 hours in the gym and I can come home to a glass of wine with my husband. If I were always trying to live life like this just for a look that I'm honestly the only one who cares about, I would hate my life and it just would be possible. Set goals, but realistic ones. Boxed Gyms who offer a bootcamp or class with a general "nutrition plan" or "meal plan" where everyone gets the same advice...are scams. Run. Though they may check your body fat and use all their "fancy calculations"... - They don't know the rate of your current metabolism. - They don't know how efficient or inefficient your metabolism has ran in the past. - They don't consider any hormonal imbalances you may have or had. - They don't ask or consider rather or not you've had an eating disorder. - They don't ask if you have body image issues (and if you do you likely won't be truthful about it). - They don't consider your ebbs and flows of cardio. - They don't ask about your personal and/or work schedule and what will and won't be feasible for you to adhere to (adherence is key 🔑) Shall I go on? Sure, they might ask about dietary or medical restrictions/history, but what's the point in asking if they're just going to give you the same plan that they're giving everyone else? This is a BIG red flag ⛳️. If you're looking for help with your nutrition and fitness routine and you want someone to take you seriously, than you need to take it seriously by seriously doing your research on what options are out there and which are going to work for YOU...rather than signing up for a "weight loss challenge" your gym is holding because you saw a flyer with a fit looking girl on it. Do you really think she did that challenge? It's called marketing for a reason. The same goes for competitors who signed up with a "coach" who's giving the exact same meal plan to all their bikini girls. You might be a lucky one who sees decent results to start, but what happens when you plateau? Is that coach going to consider all of the above and then some? Or are they going to blame you for not working hard enough or following their magical plan? If you care enough about your physical AND mental well-being, you'll do your research and find someone who wants to be on the same team as you, and who isn't just after your money. True story 💁🏼😁#nobeef (at Tulsa, Oklahoma)
Found this very interesting. Don't be fooled by marketing. Just because something says it's "clean" doesn't mean you're going to lose body fat from eating it. Weight loss occurs when calories out exceed calories in. #weightlossmyths #marketingscam (at United States)

#TBT to one of my proudest moments, after winning both my classes at the Dallas Europa Games 🙌🏼 One of my favorite things about this picture, is how genuine that smile is 😊 I didn't have to go up there and throw on a fake smile or pretend. I was actually enjoying my time on stage and that's how it should be. Every show I've ever competed in or been to I over hear SO many girls talking about what they're going to eat afterwards and how they can't wait to just be done...about how they halfway don't even care about the show any more and they were just waiting for time to tick by ⏱ That is not what this sport is about or how it should be, and those attitudes are due to extremely harsh and restrictive diets that lead to unhealthy eating disorders post show. I know this bc I've been through it myself, after my 1st competition in 2012 🙋🏼 What's the point in competing in bodybuilding shows (or even working out in general) if it makes you miserable? If the thought of grabbing some froyo with friends gives you anxiety? Fitness should enhance your life, not take away from it 💪🏼 Because I was not one bit concerned about what I'd be eating post show, I was able to focus on my stage presence and what needed to be done. At one point I remember thinking I actually wasn't ready for the day to be over bc I was having so much fun. THAT is how your hobby should make you feel 😌 All of this was due to the flexible dieting lifestyle that I've chosen. Learning this process has been one of the best decisions I've ever made, not just for my competing career but also for my daily life. Whatever approach you decide to take with your diet, it HAS to be realistic long-term, something you can stick to but not obsess over. 🙌🏼 #flexibledieting #happyishealthy Suit by @ravishsands Flawless tan 🌞by @protan_official Supplements > @nutrithority (at Dallas, Texas)
Incredibly proud of this online client of mine. These photos are only about 4 weeks apart, but the most amazing part is on the right she's eating literally double the amount of carbs, and 600 more calories per day. This ones metabolism was in need of improvement, and the reverse dieting is clearly working. So excited to watch this woman continue to progress! #doitlikedani #masteryourmetabolism #reversedieting (at Tulsa, Oklahoma)
Me...working on getting through this little prep plateau 😏 We all go through them, and the strong come out stronger than before. I've learned sooo much more this Prep than I ever expected to, and though I'm not blogging about it on a weekly basis, I'll definitely be sharing me thoughts and experience with it all once I'm done for the season. But for now - work. 👊🏼 (at BOSS Fitness Tulsa)

I get a lot of questions regarding my supplement routine. While on bikini Prep, it's quite extensive so that my body can keep up with all the hours I spend in the gym. All the basics include Isothority whey protein, BCAA's, glutamine, creatine, etc... But a new one I added in this year and am loving is Thermite by Nutrithority. ✔️Enhances Metabolic Capacity ✔️Stimulates Thyroid Hormone Production ✔️Supports Fat Loss No this is not a magical diet pill - it's a non-stimulant thermogenic that's aids with fat loss when combined with proper diet & exercise. I actually have a hard time sweating no matter how hard I'm working (always been that way) so I pop one of these before a workout and it works like a charm. 🍀 Go check it out at www.nutrithority.com & use my code dani20 for 20% off + free shipping on orders over $60 🙌🏼💁🏼 (at United States)
