Casual Portraits - Comickers 1995
This issue of the popular japanese magazine Comickers features personal portraits and interviews with some of the most famous mangaka of the 90s, Naoko Takeuchi (Sailor Moon) during the series' serialization, Kosuke Fujishima (Ah! My Goddess, You're Under Arrest) with his motorcycle collection, Reiko Okano (Fancy Dance, Onmyoji) discussing her creative process, and illustrator Ayumi Kasai breaking down her color manuscript techniques with markers.
Cosbon Fantasy Vol 2, 2008
This independent japanese magazine captured early 2000s cosplay culture and photoshoots from local smaller cosplayers, in this issue a wide range of anime and video games such as Gurren Lagann, Dragon Quest, Cutie Honey and the classic Galaxy Express 999 were brought to life.

Tadanobu Asano and Shie Kohinata discuss the relationship between Samehada and Toshiko, the characters they both portray in the cult classic Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl.
Highlighting some of the amazing outfits from the movie, which were all entirely designed by the collaborative efforts of Japanese director Katsuhito Ishii and legendary J-pop stylist Ikuko Utsunomiya (known for styling SMAP and Kyoko Koizumi)—with the exception of Samehada's costume, designed by famous Japanese designer Takeo Kikuchi.
"I wanted to create costumes that were completely over the top, something a normal yakuza would never wear," Ishii said.
