            Kindness, despite  being  a virtue  Stephani  strongly  endorsed,  was  not  rewarded  to  a  girl  she  could  only  see  as  a  mistake  -  a  misstep  among  many  her  brother  made.  Fault,  though,  she  could  never  place  on  him,  despite  how  much  it  may  be  his.  Adoring  to  a  fault,  her  dislike  for  Juliet  stemmed  from  both  her  family  name,  what  that  meant,  and  the  attentions  she  was  taking  from  herself.       ❝  You  obviously  know  better,  and  you’re  letting  him  put  himself  at  risk.  If  anything  happens  to  him,  I’m  not  letting  you  get  off  scratch  -  free.  ❞

     hazel eyes lock with blue,  saccharinity returned.     how is it that,  in any conversation with any montague beyond her   beloved   ,  she ends up wanting to    SCREAM    ??     but,  instead,  voice is  soft  ,  gaze is   consistent   ,  first comment is    IGNORED    .     “ it just so  happens  ,  stephani,  that he’s my favorite person   too   . ”

           Tiny  frame  is  leaned  forward,  full  cheeks  now  resting  in  slim  hands  so  preteen  can  launch  sickly  sweet  smile  toward  the  girl  across  from  her.        ❝  I   think  being  my  brother  is  more  than  dating  you.  ❞       Sip  is  taken  from  her  lemonade,  smile  dimming  the  slightest.       ❝  He’s  my  favorite  person,  and  if  your  cousin  ever  did  anything  to  him,  it’s  on  you.  ❞
