So comparing the dolls used in the Princess and The Pauper doll dioramas with Mattel dolls made around the time, and it’s interesting how many dolls they pulled from the archives with modified paint and hair.

I confess that sometimes my head is elsewhere. The only thing I hope is that these absences do me good before they bring me problems. I'm not talking about being sent to detention or to Headmistress Bloodgood's office, but rather concerns about myself. I had an appointment at Draculaura's castle to paint her portrait, which was to appear in the Fearbook. But while I was checking my tools to make sure they were all there, Rochelle called me to tell me to meet her at the Coffin Bean. Of course I had to go, and I closed my bag and put it down with the others. I came home very late, and I slept without hearing my alarm. I just had time to not be late but I was in such a state of panic that I didn't pay attention to the bag that I grabbed. When Draculaura sat down to pose and I opened it, I was terrified to see it was filled with pastels. I lost my breath and Draculaura asked me if something was wrong. I told her that everything was fine, and since there was nothing else to do but to try to do the best, that's what I did. It wasn't easy and it took longer than if I had the right material, but Draculaura liked the result. I acted as if nothing had happened.

My Barbie Style Millie be slaying. I know everyone and their grandmother has an opinion or two on Millie, but I feel that this doll shows that Millie can look Amazing when Mattel lets her (which they usually don't)

AHH!!!! I got my first Kurhn doll and stole her clothes immediately for my custom Dolls of the World Princess of China (thanks @thegreymoon!)

This outfit is from the doll "Evergreen" from Kurhn's World of the Palace series. From some cursory googling, it seems her outfit is inspired by a Chinese poem about mountains or something. I absolutely LOVE how it looks. The fabric quality is A++

This doll is on a belly button body so that's why the dress looks a little tight in the bust. I also have a model muse body if I want to switch it out, but the velcro closed fairly well in the back and I had no issues getting it over her hips so I might wait to do any rebodying.

Anyways I'm not sure what I'll do with the Kurhn doll (she's cuter than I expected in person, but the big anime eyes/huge head really isn't my thing.) I might try selling her body to put the funds towards more Kurhn dolls with clothes I want hahaha.
