the radqueer community needs to get educated abt racism , U cant be defending trace rights without understanding how race affects people N societies , a lot of U have only a surface level understanding like "racism bad" but U dont know what it actually looks like , U only know abt the "obvious" ways that racism can happen

N before people start asking moy abt it , je dont want to "be an educator" bc its very draining , U need to put in the work urselves theres a lot of resources N books out there U can read , U go out of ur way for pretty flags , aesthetic blogs etc so put in some effort to learn abt racism

This is a great place to start because everyone has parts to themselves, but you could use this as a way to turn those "parts" into fully formed alters! (IFS is different from dissociative identity disorder, which is why I'm saying this).

• MANAGERS: Managers are protective parts that function to control their surroundings and manage emotions and tasks to navigate daily life. Managers aim to keep exiles contained and hidden from conscious awareness to avoid distress and pain.

• EXILES: Exiles are parts that hold hurt, fear, or shame from early experiences, and they carry the difficult emotions and memories associated with those experiences.

• FIREFIGHTERS: Firefights are activated when exiles produce overwhelming, painful, or threatening emotions. Firefights aim to inhibit those difficult emotions by any means necessary, such as substance use, binge eating, etc.

THINGS TO DO NOW THAT YOU KNOW HOW THE IFS GENERALLY WORKS:

• log the info about your "parts" into the app of your choice! this is the basic plan for your system, and you'll use this to make them more independent instead of just "parts of you"!

• find more "get to know me" questions and fill them out for each alter as well! this will help give them more of an identity!

• every time you feel a certain way, think of it as another alter is fronting!
