Well.

Rachel couldn’t really… think. Not with Santana being quite that direct in her approach. There was no teasing, no semblance of bashfulness, and certainly no doubt where this was going. Rachel was glad things were very clear - there would be no chance for her to make a fool of herself - but she was also a bit intimidated. And undoubtedly aroused. And she could not, no matter how impolite she told herself she was being, look away from those lacy black panties between Santana’s thighs.

Hands resting at her sides, Rachel’s fingers twitched, practically begging to touch. And then Santana spoke. And Rachel felt every word right between her legs, heart thumping dumbly in her ribcage as she tried to engage her brain into the task at hand. Did she want to see Santana wait for her touch? Whimper? And beg her? Her lips parted slightly, a shallow breath leaving her lungs. That would be… yes. Yes.

But Santana kept talking. Did she want to beg on her knees? Liquid heat seemed to spread from her lower stomach to the very tips of her fingers, and she almost asked if Santana had turned on the heat in the room before she got there. It was far too difficult to make her brain cooperate and help her choose. Dom or sub? Santana’s panties were absurdly pretty. Distracting.

"I don’t-" Her voice was a little bit coarse, almost as if she’d just woken up. Dom or sub? Dilated brown eyes finally looked up, lingering on Santana’s lips before looking into her eyes. Santana waited patiently while she let Rachel process everything that had happened since stepping foot in their room. There were ways in which Santana could have gone about easing Rachel into everything, but what was the point? As far as Santana was concerned, they were both more than aware of where the day was heading; Rachel had even locked the door behind her. Playing coy was fun, but this wasn’t the time for it.

It didn’t hurt that Rachel seemed preoccupied with her panties, and Santana congratulated herself for her excellent taste in underwear. Being so forward was always going to be a risk, but it appeared to be one that was soon paying off in the best of ways.

"Are you a good girl, Santana?"

That was a surprise. Santana harboured no hesitation to take on the role of sub, but she had half-expected the other woman to step back and let her dominate. As far as she could tell, the majority of girls around her at the institute seemed all too ready to submit at a moment’s notice. Not that Santana was complaining – having the chance to submit to Rachel Berry was certainly no loss on her part.

Glancing down at herself, Santana gave an exaggerated pout and stretched out her legs languidly, her chest heaving with a weighty sigh. “That’s too bad.” Continuing to hold her shirt up with just one hand, she let the other slide down until she was able to run the tip of her index finger along the waistline of her panties, pulling the material out before letting it snap back in place. “Should I get rid of them, Miss Berry?”

Harmony had been up there for maybe ten minutes before Santana arrived, which was plenty enough time to get her porcelain body all of the vitamin D that it would need, in her mind. But the prospect of the beautiful Latina coming up to join her was enough to make her get a little more heated than from just the sun. She was sure that something was going to happen between then, and though she still considered herself straight, and she’d only been with women since she got here, Santana definitely seemed like a treat.

Once she heard the girl’s voice, Harmony opened one eye and looked over at her, watching as she walked over, biting her bottom lip. She couldn’t help herself from noticing the girl’s cleavage, and how it moved as she walked. And how beautifully bronze her skin was. Licking her lips, the girl replied with a little smile. “Shy? Me? Never.” She said with a smirk, As Santana spoke again, she cocked her head, a playful grin on her lips. “Was that an offer?” She asked with a wink, looking down at the girl.

Having a building full of attractive, eager girls really was useful, and Santana planned on making the most out of her new accommodation. She closed the few feet still separating her from Harmony and kneeled between her legs on the lounger without preamble, admiring the view of the girl now that she was up close and personal. Santana was careful not to touch her, not yet, except to nudge her knees up against the inside of Harmony’s legs in order to get the girl to make more room for Santana to lean over her, her body shielding Harmony from the sun.

“It could be.” She returned Harmony’s playful grin and let her gaze wander down the girl’s body; down her neck, her breasts and over her torso, before flicking her eyes back up. “It all depends on how shy you really are.” Santana dipped her head to press a chaste, fleeting kiss to the side of Harmony’s neck, her gaze wandering out to the buildings that towered around them with a pointed look. “And whether you blush at the idea of strangers watching as I make you come.”

I actually felt like asking for a piano, but that wouldn’t exactly fit, so a guitar was a nice second option. Plus, it would be way more expensive, so they probably wouldn’t have given me one. Do you have things in mind, and are you hesitating, or do you just really not know?

It was a beautiful day in New York City. The sun was shining, it wasn’t overly hot, it was just perfect. And since it was a holiday, and most of the buildings around them weren’t residential, she figured the safest bet to get a nice, even suntan would be today. She was absolutely sure that at least one building would have people in it, but the fact that they could see her with nothing on but a teeny, tiny g-string, which had ties on it so that she wouldn’t get even the smallest pale line, didn’t bother her. 

The girl went up to the roof that day, her hair flowing down her shoulders, her makeup done. She always had to look good. She had no idea who she could potentially run into, and she had to look her best. She’d found relaxation on one of the loungers, thankful that she was alone for the time being, but it was still early. People could show up. She draped a towel over the chair and pulled off the cover up that she’d worn on the way up, leaving her in just her small panties. 

She got on her phone to try and cure the boredom of being up there alone, and it didn’t take long before she found someone to come and join her. Harmony had never met or really spoken to Santana before, but something about the girl piqued her interest, and she waited patiently, eyes closed due to the sun, as she laid out.

Santana had been all too willing to join the beautiful brunette asking for company up on the rooftop, especially when said girl happened to suggest more than a simple case of sunbathing on the agenda. She had hardly been able to believe her luck after catching a glimpse of the women she would be staying with for the duration of her time at Dolloway, and Santana would have been an idiot to turn down an open invitation like that.

With a towel slung over her shoulder, more for show than any intense desire to put it to use, and with nothing more than a black bikini to cover what modesty she had, Santana strode along the halls with a flirty smile to everyone she passed. There was little point in hiding her body from the people around her anymore.

It didn’t take long until Santana was climbing up the stairs to the roof and slipping past the door. Her eyes fell on Harmony immediately (how could they not?) and Santana stood for a moment while she allowed herself the pleasure of admiring the view.

“You’re not one to be shy, are you?” she commented with a smile, already dropping her towel and stepping away from the door. Santana padded over with bare feet until she was standing at the bottom of Harmony’s lounger, her gaze travelling up the length of the girl’s body. “Not that you have any reason to be. You look good enough to eat.”

There had always been a bit of a disconnect between her life on and offstage. As much as her dads and brother and even herself proudly declared her a star every single day of the year, the reality of growing up Rachel Berry was a little more pre-Valjean Cossette than post-Marius Cossette. With cheerios in lieu of Thenardiers and constant comments on her nose rather than her destitute mother, but really - she was fairly sure she qualified as a tragic character back then. 

Of course, the second the spotlight was on her, everything changed. And these days, seven years into her adult life and with a fairly extensive stage resume behind her, the difference between on and offstage Rachel was far smaller than before. But it was still there. So even if she knew precisely what it was that she was going to do with Santana, and even if she knew Santana wanted it to happen as much as she did, there was a moment of hesitation between arriving at the door to their room, and actually knocking on it.

Which she immediately regretted, because it was her own room, too, and who knocks on their own door? 

With a quiet sigh and a quick once-over to her top and shorts to make sure everything was still looking presentable, Rachel straightened her back, put her game face on and walked into the room. She’d made a promise to herself to take this whole thing as a show, and dammit, she was going to be the star.

"Hi, Santana." There was a hint of a finger-wave that she immediately stopped, using that hand to lock the door behind her instead. No finger-waving. No finger-waving whatsoever when a practically naked girl is right there. Willing to… share the nakedness. With her. Rachel’s eyes moved from the other girl’s face, to the shirt, whatever she could see of the famous behind, and tanned legs before going back to practically black eyes. "I’m not sure I can truly appreciate it from here, but I must say it certainly looks promising." A playful giggle, and Rachel took another step into the room. If she was nervous - she was extremely nervous - she was fairly sure it didn’t show.

The brochure fluttered down to the bed at the sound of the knock on the door. Santana glanced over with a small, amused smile tugging at her mouth, her eyes lighting up when Rachel walked in. For such a petite woman, Rachel really did have such long legs, and Santana used the brief intermission of Rachel locking the door to take advantage of the view. Her dark eyes ran up the length of Rachel’s body slowly, almost lazily, and her smile only grew at what she saw. Santana already knew that Rachel was undoubtedly a beautiful woman, she had seen as much during their short stay together, but knowing she was here for Santana suddenly gave her a new found appreciation for her good looks

The sound of the door being locked tipped Santana’s smile up further. She let Rachel get her fill of the view before sitting up smoothly until she was perched on the edge of the bed, her brochure fluttering down to the floor, forgotten already.

“Then there’s one sure-fire way to fix that problem,” she remarked, sending Rachel a teasing look as she crossed her legs neatly, hooking her index finger in the air to gesture Rachel closer. “I promise I won’t bite.” Santana considered Rachel for a brief moment, tilting her head just so with a raise of her brow before amending her statement. “Unless that’s something you’re into.”

With her arms outstretched behind her, Santana uncrossed her legs to give the other girl a fleeting glimpse of the black lace of her underwear, her dark gaze never deviating from Rachel. “What’s your flavor, Miss Berry?” In a building where near everyone identified as a Switch, Santana was still sizing up where everyone’s preferences lay. No better way to find out than through personal experience. “Do you like good girls who wait for your touch with a whimpering please?” Santana played with the last word, letting it fall from her lips as a pleading breath before she was suddenly sitting straighter, her mouth turned up into a cocky smirk. Santana was very good at playing the right role. “Or would you rather come to me on your knees and beg me to let you draw down my underwear with your teeth?”

Do you know how difficult this question is for someone who majored in History through college? There are so many kickass characters I'd like to get my hands on and talk to, but you're limiting me to just one? No fair. Lozen of the Apaches, Julie D’Aubigny and Ching motherfucking Shih, just to scratch the surface.

But I'ma go with the First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald. I grew up listening to her music, she's the goddamn Queen of Jazz, and to be there and listen to her sing live would be out of this world.
