Shit has been going wild in the bjd hobby over the last few days. Several youtubers have been approached by Luo from Chinabjd, and given a free recast to review. Naturally people are going nuts, and for good reason. For many people, that’ll be their first introduction to bjds with no idea the harm that recasts do to the hobby.
So I’m gonna take this opportunity to reiterate, I am pro-artist. This hobby is fueled entirely by artists, from the ones who make the dolls, to the ones who make clothing, wigs, faceups, props, even photography. If you’re okay with stealing from those artists, this isn’t the hobby for you. Please support the artists who make this hobby and possible and buy legit. It may take longer, but it’s worth it. So many artists and dealers these days offer layaways. I got my Villitunes Mimichu on a four month layaway, I got my Nymphea’s dolls Mushika on a six month layaway. If you can afford to buy a recast, you can afford to save up longer and get a legit, it just takes patience.
