Full Snow Moon l Andrew McCarthy
My heart is the shape of the moon. It waxes and it wanes. It guards the oceans of you.
~ Helaena Moon

"When we think of "meant to be," we automatically assume forever. But maybe it isn't supposed to last forever. Maybe it's just someone who is in your life to teach you something. Maybe the forever is not the person, but what we gain from them."
- excerpt from a diary I don't own. (via - southernsparkleandshine)
- Evelyn Waugh, from Brideshead Revisited (1945)
Sometimes I wish you could see what I have bloomed into.
That was helpful and at the same time... not so much. It is because my brain can not register much right now. It is the first time since I was born that I feel like I need to think less or not think at all because the thoughts will lead me to certain places and I do not want to go there very much.
Thank you for approaching the matter in that manner.
I have this feeling that you are quite torn in more than one way. And that indeed must be very exhausting.
I think it is all right though, to give yourself a little time. A weary mind often wanders too far. Only — not too long. The mind is a haven for thoughts, a paradox. It is meant to think, to create. Every seemingly true thought can be disproven wrong, yet every false one can be proven right. I find it important to keep up the motion.
But for now, setting yourself in slumber might not be a bad thing at all. Of course, it is up to you.
I am too exhausted to exist but too afraid to die. It is not a phase. It has always been like that for me and this is what makes it exhausting.
Mm, that is quite the dilemma you have gotten yourself trapped in.
I would like to believe that death is not the answer though, even if you would one day have the courage to face it. In fact, the bravest thing you can do is continue living when all you wish is to die.
But what is it that weights you down? The fear, in its simplicity? I am aware that the world can be quite dreadful and eerie, but there must be light beyond that. Surely. I cannot help, but wonder what it is that clouds your sky and lays a life-long burden on you to carry.
Thank you for revealing these thoughts despite how unfavourable they are for you. I am not sure, if I am of any help though. But I will listen, if you would like me to.
Anonymously confess something to my muse.
I imagine the universe looking out for me, the stars blinking like thousands of tiny lanterns. Grief is a thing which grows from love, not fear.
Ollie Schminkey, Dead Dad Jokes; "It's Going To Be Okay"
“From which stars have we fallen to meet each other here?”
— Friedrich Nietzsche, Letter to Lou Salomé
Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things break. And all things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you.
