A while back I posted a set of Barbie paper dolls featuring theater costume that Mattel sold at the time. (See link below.)

Today I found Mattel promotion material for those costumes. They look pretty cool.

So, um, yeah I may have gotten the slightest bit sidetracked into playing with my Off The Hook dolls this morning XD I don't know what it is about this head sculpt, they are all just...magical. Even in whatever random outfits I could throw together to dress them in. More to come from these girls later as well <3

For people who don't know, Off The Hook was one of Integrity Toys' last sets of playline dolls. I remember seeing them only in Toys R Us, and I want to say about $20 each (which was a bit expensive for playline back then)? That was in my Articulation Snobbery Era so I didn't pay much attention to them 😅

I got most of these at TRU and from a few of the authorized IT online retailers that were carrying playline back then, but never paid more than $10 for any of them. There's a mythical Wave 2 with completely different packaging that I've only seen on ebay a couple of times, no idea what those retailed for originally.

This weeked I played dressup with my two UFDoll blindbox girls and two doll kimonos bought from Daiso! The kimonos are a little tight for them, but they're still adorable!

I’m so excited to share our mushroom photos!

This has been a work in progress for a few months from when I started making the hats and getting things ready to do this shoot.

I made the hats out of left over material from my floral throne, fabric from my supply stash and trim from joanns fabric.

It was an absolute dream project to do and I love how these turned out.

I designed the inky cap with Stephanie in mind and Katie stepped in for the redcap because my original model was unavailable. We did there pumpkin head shoot the same day as the mushroom shoot, it was so fun!

Alien final form! So much work went into sculpting , molding, casting and fabricating all those flappy frillies and i am just thrilled! ( I dont want to take it off) i will have blank translucent kits for this sculpt up for preorder this Friday the 16th at 2pm PST. I have been gathering parts to make some Ghibli dolls.

When I received the Jiji bank, I found it was waaay too big to go with the 1/4 imomodoll Kiki. But also the head comes right off.

So I did what I had to do, and put the head over a Shadow High Rexx. Now in my mind Jiji translates right into a cute lil chibi girl, but your mileage may vary. Try not to visualize the stupid Shadow High blobbed on abs under that sweet tiny dress. Maybe I'll try boyish styling another time.

Kiki awaits a good weather day to spray base layers. And then we wait. For my brain to say ok now I can try anime face drawing. Who knows how long that might take 😭

I have a half baked idea to print her face on plain paper and use graphite to sorta do a rubbing onto the head in the right general areas for a starting point.

This head is so small and round that it's gonna be hard for me to sort of fake the Ghibli face shape. But I would like to give it my best shot to look more show accurate, and not my personal style translation.
