Paper Dolls as Fashion History

While taking costume design classes in college, I realized that paper doll books were a great reference source. They captured the popular clothing of the era they were created.

It's 1974. Bond is on a dangerous mission in the Heartland of America. But, oh no! He's lost his luggage. And his credit cards. Not to worry, says his American liaison, Miss Nicole "NIx" Notinterested. The local mall has both a Sears and a JC Penney; she can get him a stylish, all-occasion wardrobe for practically nothing. Especially if she shops the clearance racks.

And I let Bond keep one of his suits because I was starting to feel sorry for him. Bet you can guess which one it is.

But wait, there's more!

In a sultry purr, Bond had suggested that they might need to go undercover as a couple, so Nix was also able to get them three matching outfits so that they'll look like a couple! (And don't worry about our Nix; she's really good at ignoring smirking innuendo!)
