@dolos
I can’t call you if I don’t have your name, doll.
You don't know who I am?
I’m not sure if such things would be considered ‘fun’ to most, I for one can’t find anything enjoyable about the thought.
Suit yourself, but if you ever decide that you're sick of standing around doing nothing, I'll be here all eternity.
What a lovely image. All of us holding hands and singing around the burning corpses of humans, dancing in the ruins of their cities. Charming.
Well you might as well, I mean if you aren't doing anything beneficial you should at least have fun. No?
Makes me wonder whether that messiah they praised was in fact you.
What they don't know won't hurt them.
From how lightly you speak, I was merely curious if you’ve seen what has become of earth, kitten.
Well of course I have. I find it quite cozy. It's like, one giant bonfire has united us all. I'll bet Hades just wants us all to be friends again.
By the gods, I don’t even want to imagine what you’ve done to those poor unsuspecting humans.
Nothing much really. Just scare them, perhaps confuse them a little.
Poseidon would rather punch himself in the face and have his “pokey-stick” jabbed into his abdomen than say it, but the twit was at his throat, breathing down his neck.
"Don’t you have somewhere to be?" It took all his effort not to snap at Dolos.
Moving around Poseidon so that he was now facing the God, Dolos continued to pester him, "No. Do you?"
I think that it’s generally chemicals and things that can kill humans.
That depends on who you get them from.
I guess being immortal does have its benefits.
It certainly makes for a lot more fun when joking around with the mortals.
I often do whatever I like. It’s more fun that way. To do what I do not like would not be very enjoyable, so I see no need in doing that…
Oh? Like drugs? …Or still another sort?
I don't know of another sort, although I'm sure there is. Humans are very, very strange creatures. You know, I once told one of them that I was actually the emperor of Greece.
If he could choke on nothing, Poseidon did. He knew that voice anywhere. Visiting the neutral parties in the beginning had been ridiculous at points, but none were more so than Dolos [although Hedone… she was something, that was certain]. The trickster was worse than Hermes in his young years, for lack of better words a major pain in the earth shaker’s ass. He gritted his teeth and pretended not to have heard the rapidly approaching immortal.
Dolos continued to approach Poseidon until he was practically breathing over his shoulder. "All you have to do is say you missed me. Say it and we can even make s'mores."
Mania stopped mid spin to tile her head at him. “Oh? Then maybe a different sort of dancing?”
She started to laugh. “Or a different sort of line…?”
I was thinking a different sort of line, but uh, you can do whatever you'd like.
Oh. I don’t think that’s healthy… you should probably get that check out.
No need, I'm practically invincible.
He had never really contemplated the way the world would end. It wasn’t a pleasant topic, and the ocean god had never really understood the mortal fools who waited out their apocalypse, stocking bunkers with supplies and seeming as if Mania herself had reached them. Zombies, Ragnarok, the Mayans, all things he saw as foolish. But now those supposed idiots were the ones safe from the touches of destruction.
Everything was so silly, now. Frowning, Poseidon kicked a miraculously survived plastic bottle in the middle of the street, watching it drift away. Perhaps it was time to head for Katerini.
Dolos wandered the streets in search of any other Olympians who'd chosen to grace the earth with their protective blanket of protectiveness. At least, that's what he liked to call it. So many familiar faces were popping up now that the humans were in danger is was almost like being back up on Mount Olympus. In fact, Dolos much preferred it this way because there were far less places to be kicked to on earth.
Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a man brooding over a plastic bottle. Dolos was about to ask what exactly the bottle had done to him when he noticed the face belonged to someone he knew.
"Hey, hey!" He called out to Poseidon as he approached him excitedly. "Where's your pokey-stick big guy? We could use it to roast marshmallows!"
Um…—I don’t know. But thank you, although kind of hard to believe considering there are so many of us. While we’re on that topic I’m also quite fond of you.
My heart is melting. Literally. I can feel the liquid seeping through my rib cage.
What can I say? There’s a thin like between genius and insanity. I like that line. I live on that line… I am that line.
I have the sudden urge to line dance. Hm…
All this talk about lines and it makes you think of dancing? Clearly you haven't met the right humans yet.
