dominikhs:
Dominik’s eyes reopened; it turned out he’d fallen momentarily asleep as a film starring Jackie Chan was beginning to play. Making an effort to curb his drowsiness, he lifted his head. “Dude, I warned you I was letting the salesman randomly choose movies for me,” he drawled. A set of DVDs, which he’d spontaneously purchased earlier, lay atop the table beside him. “You have to admit the 2017 Power Rangers was pretty entertaining, though.”
He took a swig of his beer as he shook his head, “That was your choice, so I’m still blaming you.” But, Adam had to admit that the salesman had good taste in some of the movies, and Power Rangers was definitely up there, but still, the movie just was crap. He conceded that point to his friend, “It was, but this movie better be good otherwise our friendship is done and I’m walking home.” He said, his face a mask of emotion, a point of pride for him that he managed to perfect it. Of course, he was joking - well, about the friendship part, not so much about the walking home if the movie was bad - but Dominik didn’t need to know that. “I hope you’ve chosen wisely.”
Dom chuckled. He felt that Adam was a genuine friend who just wouldn’t admit such things by nature. “The action’s starting,” he said as the protagonist began throwing punches. He attempted to figure the context out, but... “Wait, what the fuck.” This copy of the film, it turned out, was a Polish dub with no alternative dubs or subtitles. He glanced at Adam, visibly amused, before starting to make his way out of the room. It’s your choice to walk home or see what I’m gonna do about this, he conveyed wordlessly.
