Dudley A. Davey

Illustrator, photographer, art director Dudley A. Davey began his career apprenticing at Pringle & Booth (Toronto), Royal Canadian Air Force, and at the Stephen Colmer Studio (western Canada). Joined the Toronto Daily Star newspaper as ad designer. Clients included: Toronto’s new city hall, Toronto-Dominion Centre, Toronto Transit Commission, Canadian National, and Expo 67. Davey lived out his years as an artist at Toronto Island until his death a few years ago. Collection was donated to Dominion Modern by his son Michael Davey.
