griddlehark's relationship only becomes more and more tragic with each new book in the locked tomb... born hating each other, destined to love each other, to have gone through so much trauma together that they're only two people in the universe who could possibly understand the other and then they lose each other. they get what, a couple days of deep and solid understanding and the ability to express care for one another (after 17 years of clawing each other's faces off), outside of just their dynamic as necromancer and cavalier, and then gideon gives it up to sacrifice her life for harrow. of course pretty much all of harrow the ninth is a massive detailed memoir of their tragic love story, couldn't possibly recap all that, but the fact that they are both there, inhabiting the same body, and can't even communicate, can't coexist without killing the other - cam and pal were in a similar situation but even their sad separation was better, they had a system figured out - so they both "die" for the other again. and then in nona, gideon is out of harrow's body, she's in her own, but she's not alive, but she's not not alive, and she's not quite the right gideon, and she even gets to see harrow's body again after being separated but it's not harrow in there and that makes her furious. the fact that they even technically kiss, like harrow's lips did touch gideon's lips?! but harrow wasn't present, and technically gideon was kiriona, it's like they are truly destined to never get to be happy. they spend two entire books together but apart, apart but together, and it's only at the very end that the right souls get reunited with the right bodies and in such a way that they are actually two separate beings who could have the possibility of the chance of going back to where they left off in gtn. i have no idea what's going to happen next for their horrible wonderful tragic love but i know alecto is going to kill me

A manga I found out about today

It's called "The Mutant Wants to Kiss His Human Girlfriend", it's about a mutant who finds a human girl and falls in love with her, and is now trying to make her fall in love with him.

It's set in a post apocalypse setting.

It's giving me a harem kind of vibe, and it's really silly in some parts, but it's really cute.

I haven't found many manga about monster-human relationships, so I was pleased to find this one which, so far, is pretty lighthearted and cute.
