Stay stoked.

Just the one frame this time. The sequence doesn't really add much more than this one image alone does.
D7k 400mm, f10, 1/1600, iso800
Nice big punt at Bantham late one evening a while ago. Some nice late light combined with some fun little choppy waves made me wish I'd had my board with me.
Somehow I don't think he landed this, but as I missed the final frame, I'll leave that one open to debate..

Just one vote...
GUYS please give my photo a vote in this little competition! I'll literally love you forever.

I wasn't gonna pop these up as I'm not a hundred %% on whether I like them; the light was non-existent and the camera's iso was maxed as high as it would go so noise is huge in these. Josh seemed to like them though.
As always shot on a D7k w/ 400mm lens @ f5.6
Happy snapping!

Gul man Josh Cleaver at Bantham, very keen to shoot some more of Josh soon, hopefully in some bigger and more powerful waves than here.
Nikon d7k @400mm 1/50
Some slower shutter speed stuff from Bantham again. Faffing around with some different crops.
D7k 400mm ƒ8 @1/25
Another sequence from Bantham, just before the sun hid away for the evening.
D7k, 400mm lens...
have a lil gander around here...http://1x.com/member/dread
Have YOU seen my photos idling around anywhere?
Soo I recently started using this Tumblr crap today, with the endless aim of moving all of my surf imagery over here to keep it separate from my normal photography. I like the way I can make a story out of a set of images much easier, and the more control/options available using a blog, as opposed to say Flickr or 500px.
I noticed a few of my images getting shared around and 're-blogged', seems legit(ish..). I don't really understand this sharing system, like does it link directly back to my site? Or does it just literally make a new copy of the image on someone else's blog, with no link back to me?
Anywho, if you like what you see on this little blog, keep an eye out and if you see my shots being shared around or even re-uploaded, and others taking the credit, tell me?
Muchoo appreciatoooo

Another, but slightly shorter sequence later in the afternoon; this is Alex, a good mate and pretty talented on his lil 5'2". Bantham beach just keeps giving.

Perfect light. Bantham. Young Spaniard. All good things.

I shot this last year during a big run of storms, seeking shelter up in North East Devon. We found a nice long left point and surfed for hours...
The funny thing is despite this being a famed left point, a really sucky, dredging right was throwing some chunky sections around, launching a few boys onto the shallow rocks. This dude was doing pretty well for himself.
This shot actually found its way into Wavelength mag some time ago, even though it's a little soft (there was basically no daylight left) and really noisy.

Back-lit evening at Bantham on the south coast. I wish I could have surfed, but didn't bring my board. But I did get some good shots.
All images shot 400mm Nikon d7k.

The first post with this new blog. I've been photographing various things for a while, mostly landscapes and wildlife, but thought I'd swivel the lens over at something I do a lot but I've not really shot much before...
Storms. Big storms make good waves in unusual places. I found one of those places.
