“Alright, so we’re going to dance. No if ands or butts about it, we’re getting on the dance floor, understand??” Yang offered a hand, not literally going to drag the person to the dance floor but not afraid if it truly came to that. Tonight was about celebrating what made them different ─ supporting the nonbinary and trans people among them ─, and becoming one as a community! She wanted to be a part of that!

And she wasn’t going to take no for an answer when it came to this dance.

Blake was not the type of girl who enjoyed doing to formal events, usually only going if dragged there by a friend. Transglam was one of those events. She felt a little out of place, but Yang told her that plenty of cis gendered people went in support of their trans and nonbinary friends. At some point after they arrived Yang spotted a few friends that Blake wasn’t familiar with, so the two split up for a bit. She had tried to linger along the outskirts of the party - a glass of champagne in her hand and her normally indifferent expression now one of ease. 

After coming across Coco and Velvet and talking to them for a bit, Blake had decided to sit down and wait until she spotted Yang. The best friend in question managed to sneak up on her; her eyes focused on her Scroll as she texted Sun. He loved parties, but hated dressing up. Blake wasn’t even sure he owned anything close to a suit. She remembered him jokingly wearing a tie once, but $10 says it was Neptune’s. 

She slipped her Scroll into the pocket of her dress pants, taking Yang’s hand and standing up with a small smile, “Understood.” She’d already promised her a dance and she wouldn’t go back on her word.
