Summary:
“You know what your tragedy is Ted? You keep burning pieces of yourself thinking that’s what you need to do to make everyone happy. You don’t ask for help, you don’t talk - not really - because you’re so fucking terrified that if you do, if you let anything slip out about how you’re truly doing, people are going to think you’re a burden and leave you.”
Rebecca is tired of missing Ted quietly so she starts to make some noise. Ted needs to find a way to make his two worlds coexist. Could AFC Richmond’s women’s team be the push of fate they both need?

THIS ONE FUCKING WORKS. REBLOG IT.
this for real fucking works
Not to beat a dead horse but “two middle-aged divorcées find a second chance and true love in one another based on deep friendship and mutual respect, and establish a mixed found family and excellent working relationships” is so much more appealing and original than “white man is the key to fixing everybody’s lives and then he goes back to live in a traditional nuclear family structure in the Midwest.”
This woman right here is strong, confident, and powerful.

My gif-making skills are rusty, but I MADE A THING 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
and my personal favorite:
i love getting validation as a lefty but also learning about new fun ways it continues to suck
I have to squeeze my fucking wire crimpers with my RIGHT hand because if I don't everything has to be upside-down
I was almost 30 years old when I discovered the giant metal scissors with black handles that were in every classroom ever didn’t actually suck, they just don’t cut if you hold them left-handed. I saw them at work and on a whim suddenly picked them up right-handed and cut something, and instead of the paper folding around the blades (like always), it cut like butter. I’m still so angry.
It turns out when you hold right-handed scissors in your left hand, your thumb pushes the blades apart instead of together, so while some scissors claim to be ambidextrous due to their grip, the only real left-handed scissors reverse the blades.
And as a bonus, if you get left-handed scissors for work, even if you clearly label them, sometimes your coworkers will take them and you get the immense satisfaction of watching them struggle with the most uncomfortable, useless pair of scissors they ever held in their life digging into the sides of their fingers because the grip is designed for Extra Comfort For Left-Hands until they finally look down and read the words on the handle you lovingly scrawled in permanent marker.
Look at this grip, my friend. Comfiest thing you will ever hold in your left hand. Perfectly molds along your thumb and cradles your fingers. Cuts beautifully. You can see exactly what you’re doing around the blades.
Hold it right-handed and enjoy Hell.

Surprise, @doctorhelena ! I'm your Steggy Secret Santa!
The story I'm working on for you isn't quite finished, but I didn't want to leave you without a gift, so I decided to pay tribute to one item on your wish list that particularly amused me. Thanks for being a great friend, fellow Keeper of Obscure Canadian Culture Facts, and co-founder of the Overthinkers Club. ❤️
(And a special thank you to @buckywiththegoodhair86 - I asked her to behave in a suspicious manner that would lead you to believe she was making your gift, for a bit of extra fun.)
Based on this poster design for the film Psycho.
