donatello's little work goggles from the first episode are, if i may be so daring in saying so, adorable as hell
Donnie's weapon collection...
Iâm getting stupid good at drawing these bozos
Thinking abt D the redstone player, L the PVP pro, M the builder, and R the collector... Hmm
#tmnt #riseofthetmnt #rottmnt
Villain: âSo, youâve finally arrivedâwhat the hell are you wearing?â
The Turtles:
Amazing
Are you serious it happened again
Day 7 of waiting for TOTTMNT to get uncanceled. Week 1 done bro, and this is only the beginning :D
TOTTMNT fans waiting for the show to get uncanceled be like:
god i love 2003 Splinter
short and dumb thing i made on a whim because i missed these dorks
It makes me sad that people still donât know what Mikeyâs âthingâ is.
I was watching Tales and they flat out have someone asks what his thing is if Leo is the Leader, Raph is the tough one and Donnie is the smart one.
I see people asking to this day what his role on the team is.
I remember a review when Rise came out asking if all the characters are funny party dudes, what makes Mikey stand out?
It drives me cuckoo with a side of bananas.
Yes,Mikey is the Goof off, yes heâs the jokester, yes heâs the chill one but heâs so so much more than that.
Across every iteration of Tmnt, there has always been a major trait unique to Mikey.
His heart!
Mikey is the HEART.
The most empathetic of the brothers,
the most emotionally intelligent.
The one always willing to reach out and help someone
Even if he has to go against his own FATHER!
The sunshine in the dark!
The emotional center!
HOW DO PEOPLE NOT KNOW THIS! HOW IS THIS NOT THE MOST OBVIOUS THING EVER?!
Also he gets visions in dreams sometimes/has some potential magic in him. He has this ânatural talentâ and itâs begging to be released when honed, when he takes things seriously. From a Future Wizard Mikey, to Ronin. You do not want to tick him off.
Aha! Validation after *checks notes* 27 years of fanfiction!
The "worse than shredder" scene. I felt that. I've behaved this way towards people I looked up to in the past that turned out to be horrible.
That's part of what made that scene so realistic. These characters aren't human, but they communicate extremely human behaviors and actions that an audience immediately connects with. That's probably how the franchise has endured.
(Also, IDW Splinter is just a fucking asshole. In this essay I will.)
We have ass hats, now let me introduce the ass rat.
I see this kind of behavior in animals sometimes, where they will trust a human and then notice the human is actually bad and start biting for example. Usually gets them put down or worse tho...
Oh that makes it even more interesting. In IDW, the family is reincarnated human minds into animal bodies.
not a compliment
hi i wrote a whumpfic inspired by this for no good reason
Oh my godDD
Some potential considerations regarding the TMNT iteration face-offs in the upcoming Battle Nexus comic miniseries
The 1990s movie trilogy turtles being pitted against the Mutant Mayhem turtles isn't particularly surprising, but still solid conceptually--the live-action 1990 movie was the first TMNT movie ever produced and served as the perfect bridge between the Mirage comics and 1987 series. Mutant Mayhem, in comparison, is the most recent film to have been produced and is also the current face of the franchise, and is a culmination of almost 40 years of TMNT history.
At a glance, the original Mirage turtles vs. Rise seems like a very crazy match up until you take into consideration the high contrast in character designs. Rise is very reflective of the current TMNT design philosophy, where the turtles' designs are more individualized to make it easier to tell them apart and showcase their personalities. The Mirage turtles, however, are the exact opposite--even when rendered in color, the only surefire way to tell Leo, Raph, Don, and Mikey apart is their weapons because everything down to their mask colors is exactly the same.
1987 and Archie kinda seems like a boring match-up at first--while it is considered its own iteration, Archie was initially conceived as an adaptation of the 1987 series and only went off on its own direction after it was handed off to Ryan Brown and Stephen Murphy beginning with issue #5. Then you think about it--TMNT is a multiverse where many different versions of the turtles coexist alongside each other. While many universes are VERY different from each other, maybe this fight represents the idea of "similar yet different universes"/alternate timelines.
2003 vs 2012 was a little trickier to figure out, but then it hit me. You can easily divide TMNT's history into two major eras similar to Sonic the Hedgehog: The "Classic Era" prior to the 2009 Viacom purchase, and the "Modern Era" that came afterwards. TMNT 2003 was the last major TV iteration to be produced during TMNT's "Classic Era," while 2012 was the first "Modern Era" TV iteration--in other words, it's the end of an old era fighting against the beginning of a new one.
aww I was going through my art on this blog lol I was really active back then that and I think on my fandom blog with darkwing duck also haha
Which was surprising bc I was working on my masters then
I'm busy now also but not making the same art or doodles ToT maybe one day I'll get back into that
Still kinda amazed there's 1000+ of you here (probably a good portion moved on and forgot to unfollow lol)
Still kinda dead though i do miss rottmnt that I still need to finish lol saw the comics that are coming out so I peeked into the tag
I still didn't quite understand why they rebooted tmnt again after rise...I was kinda checked out of tmnt by then so I didn't really look far into it. I know rise wasn't everyone's fave (like how 2012 wasn't my fave) but still...i guess there's a pattern like tmnt 2012-2017 and then Rise was (2018-2020 with the movie 2022) and the tales tmnt being 2024- now...
l
Anyways bye~
I'm just brain rotted in VC
