coaches like babcock has no place in the nhl (or any other sports league for that matter). ignoring his well-documented abusive behaviours in the past and hiring him will be such a stupid thing to do.
literally he was not supposed to work ever again as a coach. he retired from college athletic coaching before CBJ brought him back. and then when brought back he just continued his abusive behaviour. and while the players and GM just describe it as he made them show him the "photos on their phones" everyone know what that means.
this is another blatant example of how abusers are protected in the league, and how organizations are reinforcing the cycle of abuse by repeatedly endorsing problematic individuals. they’re basically saying that the potential to win games is more important than protecting the wellbeing of players, which is just sickening.

I have painstakingly compiled a list of horses EJ has owned. Racehorses are often owned in partnership so I had to go through the list of partnerships with ERJ Racing (spoiler alert there were a lot). I did this once in 2019 and he only had 70 or so.. Our boy has been a busy busy man. Also, this has taken me over 8 hours to compile and I have regrets man.... so many regrets. Y'all better reblog this because holy fuck did I not anticipate this time suck.
All horses can be looked up on Equibase.com with their name or googled for photos. Erik doesn't currently own *all* of these horses. If they are not sold at auction and are no longer racing Equibase doesn't have current information. But he has owned all these horses at one point and currently owns some.

Bi-Aromantic sidcros who never really GOT romance. like, someone's just supposed to be more special than everyone else? and you're supposed to be exclusive with them about everything? why?
he understood sex, that's easy. it's physical, it's fun, he liked that just fine. but the romance was the hard part. the wining and dining, the sharing clothes, the cuddling, the kissing, it didn't make sense why it all of a sudden meant more. he could do all those things with friends or family, what made it all so special?
he'd asked people about it as a teen. they typically said he'd understood when he "found the one". he didn't think that would happen. eventually he stopped bringing it up, because nobody else GOT it.
he doubts himself to no end. maybe he really isn't bisexual? but he definitely likes both? maybe he's just broken? maybe he really will find "The One" and it'll all be fine?
he hears about aromanticism in passing one time, then another, and after the third, he finds the wikipedia page. he reads the whole thing with the kind of attention he reserves for WWII documentaries and fishing shows. he reads it again and smiles to himself.
with that, he settles down, and everything feels a little less heavy.
