Mila hated the Sportsman Pub, she hated the stench of Guinness, she hated the loudness, and most importantly she hated the people that frequented the pub that more than once always try to grab at her while serving them, so the minutes when she could sit down and take a break to focus on her studies Mila definitely ate them up. However there were nights when she loved the Pub like tonight when no one seemed to be bothering her and her favorite regular came in for his usual pint and chips before tipping her rather nicely. Sitting in the chair at the farthest end of the bar Mila busied herself jumping from page to page in her history book and then jumping to write down any notes her thirty minute break was almost up and she still had half a chapter to finish, but she believed in herself that was until she felt an arm wrap around her shoulder and smelled the heavy stench of booze on his breath.
Groaning under her breath she tried to wiggle herself out of Keith’s arms. “C’mon doll I know your breaks up come and join me for some fun.” The regular sneered under his breath definitely getting too close for comfort for Mila. Looking around the bar for Rick the bartender who often took care of these problems before coming up empty had the young female beginning to panic. “Back off!” She yelled, shoving his arm off of her when she got the chance she stood up immediately. Praying he’d get the message through his head, but it wasn’t surprising to see the male furrow his brows and take a menacing step towards her which had her feeling a little bit intimidated. “I said leave me alone.”
If there was one thing about Donovan, it was that pubs weren’t his thing. Sure, the man loved a good glass of whiskey every now and again and sometimes he even liked to drink himself mad but those were rare occasions as Don had a knack for being in control and too much liquor always kept him from that sort of position. He couldn’t help but judge the few that were already obliterated with alcohol, the ones that should’ve stopped six drinks ago that were trying - but miserably failing - to dance to the current song that graced the speakers of the building.
Turning his attention away from the drunkards, and the blonde that kept sending him an insinuating look, his gaze fell back upon Keith who, in the time Donovan had put his attention else where, was now harassing one of the bar maidens. Immediately Donovan was up from his stool and in two strides was next to the man. He placed his hand on Keith’s shoulder, trying his best not to crush his bones in that moment. “The lass said leave her alone. I suggest you do as she says and leave her alone,” he almost growled.
