If there was one thing about Donovan, it was that pubs weren’t his thing. Sure, the man loved a good glass of whiskey every now and again and sometimes he even liked to drink himself mad but those were rare occasions as Don had a knack for being in control and too much liquor always kept him from that sort of position. He couldn’t help but judge the few that were already obliterated with alcohol, the ones that should’ve stopped six drinks ago that were trying - but miserably failing - to dance to the current song that graced the speakers of the building.
Turning his attention away from the drunkards, and the blonde that kept sending him an insinuating look, his gaze fell back upon Keith who, in the time Donovan had put his attention else where, was now harassing one of the bar maidens. Immediately Donovan was up from his stool and in two strides was next to the man. He placed his hand on Keith’s shoulder, trying his best not to crush his bones in that moment. “The lass said leave her alone. I suggest you do as she says and leave her alone,” he almost growled.
Mila wasn’t used to being safed, she hated being the damsel in distress, but in this situation she couldn’t help but be thankful for the stranger stepping in. Her gaze fell from the stranger to Keith whose whole demeanor changed as he stumbled to apologize to her Mila was both amused and terrified of the strangers effect he had on Keith. “ I think he gets the message, now” The brunette stated as she eyed the male’s hands on Keith’s shoulder. “ I don’t think he’ll need to be told twice or Ray will call the cops. “ Hoping the stranger would catch her hint of letting him go when she mentioned the police. She knew Ray wouldn’t call, but the mere idea of having to call an ambulance for Keith made her stomach roll. Placing a hand on his she gently coerced his hold, “ C’mon I’ll get you a refill to show my thanks hero. “ She teased eyes pleading with him to forget the drunk; she really couldn’t afford to lose another job with her baby at home.
