the chase is on â micaela & adam.
miicaelas:
once it became crystal clear that boy wanted to be spontaneous and have lunch right this moment, she could feel herself a little relieved. at least, he hadnât steered away from the idea. that wouldâve probably felt a little close to rejection, even if she herself wasnât the one asking him out. micaela nodded her head quickly before disappearing off into her dressing room for one final time. it didnât take long for her to clean up considering she was pretty neat, even when was being rushed to change into a whole new wardrobe. finally, before exiting for good, she grabbed the small purse sheâd brought and took one glance in the mirror. âiâll see you again someday,â she teased, pondering the thought of appearing on the ellen show sometime in the near future. just as she was leaving the room, a loud âdingâ sound played off. it was a text message notification, it was from adam, letting her know that he was waiting by the exit. a small smile appeared on her face as she read the couple messages, realizing how sweet he was. not only was he being super patient and courteous of her feelings, but heâd been coaching her through the entire day; giving her a comforting gaze while being live and even just how he was earlier, with his monologue; he managed to still show interest in how she mightâve been feeling uncomfortable. maybe she was beginning to become aware of what ellen was talking about afterall. maybe there was two sides to adam     the side everyone ranted about and then the real side. âhey, sorry i took so long. this place is like a maze.â she teased, following adam as he led them out to his black rover. the shuttering sound and sight of small flashing lights was made visible in the broad daylight, the second they left the studio and got into his car. micaela obviously was used to the paparazzi, but something about the setting they were about to endure, made her feel anxious. whenever anyone with a big name in hollywood was spotted hanging out with another prominent name, it was always a huge deal to the paps. itâs like they were the wolves and all celebrities were their prey, including micaela and adam in this setting.
instead of mentioning a subject for the car ride, micaela studied their surroundings and tried to catch a clue that might help her figure out where they were headed. but unfortunately, they arrived a lot faster than she was able to figure out the mystery. maybe that wasnât such a horrible thing though; the petite body was absolutely starved after the long day theyâd spent with the comedian. then again, the line that presented them seemed to be a huge obstacle between micaela and food. âdonât be sorry, i donât mind waiting.â she replied, facing him with a glowing smile. sure, she was extremely hungry but she also hated being treated differently just because she was a celebrity. it was always annoying going out with other friends who believed in jumping in line due to their status. in the end everyone else was probably in the same boat as them, right? they were all at panera for a reason. as they continued in line, the repetitive sound of shuttering came back. mistakenly, she whipped around to face them. at first she was only going witness the amount of men that had been there, but the young adult could feel herself boiling with exasperation as she felt the painful blinding feeling prompted by extensive amounts of flash going off. letting her temper get the best of her, micaela flipped them off for a good second or two. âdo you really have nothing better to do with your time? fuck off.â she could hear them respond by mocking her and saying things like, âturn back around, sweetheart.â it was probably best she didnât. what she wanted to do to every single one of them was beyond illegal and immoral. âweâll be on about 5 magazine covers tomorrow, huh?â she whispered quietly into his ear after she cooled down. telling jokes was her best way to avoid compromising situations. she hoped that through light conversation and some jokes here and there, they both would forget the paparazzi even existed. though, deep down, she knew that they would only get more hostile until they bullied them into the circumstances they wanted them in.
adam was known to go back and forth between his love for the paparazzi. sometimes, he didn't mind talking to them, and other times (mostly when they were being rude and prying into his life), he would tell them off in a heartbeat. there were multiple pictures of him online flipping some short, chubby, paparazzi man the bird, and while he wasn't proud of it, adam believed that they shouldn't have been proud of basically stalking people and intruding on their lives. he had nothing better to do in that moment, other than stand in line for panera, so he figured he'd cut them some slack, and as he went to say something, micaela ended up flipping them off. she had a lot of attitude for a little body, he noted, as she told the few men off after she placed her middle finger back down. he hadn't expected that from micaela, not even in the slightest, but he had to admit that he was pretty impressed. adam liked a girl that could stick up for herself, and though when he would do something like she just had, he'd be labeled as a terrible person, adam knew that she wouldn't be, and he still wasn't even remotely bitter about it. "nice," adam commented enthusiastically as she turned back around and faced him. he gave her a thumbs up, laughing as he did so. he should have known that it was the quiet ones he had to watch out for. "i'd say six covers, actually." adam chuckled once more, the people in line ahead of them now turning around to see what the commotion was. it was then that they realized that adam was actually adam, and micaela was actually micaela. the line sort of spread like the red sea, and then jumbled back up together as they closed the distance between them and the famous duo.
"uh-oh..." adam trailed off, trying his best to smile, despite his want to just walk away. he loved his fans, he did, but if it wasn't for the paparazzi, no one in line would have even realized that they were them. he was more mad at the paparazzi, than anything, and when the first girl approached them and asked if she could take a picture, adam couldn't say no to her. if he had to be honest, she looked scared to even ask, and that was the last thing adam wanted his fans to worry about. he didn't want them to be scared to ask him for things, so long as they were polite. after each picture that adam and micaela took, he took a step back towards his car, pulling her with him. eventually, they were done, some of the girls wanting to take pictures in groups, and adam had to thank whomever he needed to for that. opening the door for micaela, he ushered her into the car, whispering a quick 'sorry', and rushed over to the driver's side to climb in. "look, the line is still long," adam began as he started up his car. "i really wanted panera, but..." he trailed off, darting his eyes around his surroundings as he tried to figure out a completely innocent way to make his next words sound. "we could go back to my place and i can make us something?" truth be told, and no one even knew, adam was a great cook, and he was now hoping to impress micaela with his abilities.
