last year for a prompt (cupid) i drew stiles as a cupid and i wanted to draw more stuff for that "au"

the idea was that stiles (a cupid i guess) was assigned to help derek hale (unbelievably unlucky with love, and most cupids give up or reject the assignment due to this, but stiles likes a challenge) and they end up falling for each other :D

The amusement faded from Cobb’s face. “Is that what you think I’m doing?”

“Fuck. Maybe. I don’t know.” Frustrated, Din gave a huff and couldn’t decide whether he wanted Cobb to get off him or stay exactly where he was. He lifted his gaze to Cobb’s chin but no higher. “It’s pretty hypocritical that you’ve accused me of not talking enough when you’ve told me even less about what’s going on with you.”

“I am often a hypocrite,” Cobb agreed. Din couldn’t begin to parse his tone. It wasn’t sarcasm.

He paused. Hesitating. Cobb waited him out until eventually Din ventured, “Is that actually the case, or is it because I’ve had my head shoved too far up my own ass to notice?”

“Whoa, hey. That’s not it,” answered Cobb. “Or if you have, it was for a good reason. A very good reason.” He said it automatically, with certainty, but then he fell silent too. Long fingers tangled through Din’s curls after a second, gripping slightly. Din still wouldn’t look at him directly. In his peripheral vision, however, he could see Cobb weighing his words carefully. “I talk a lot of bullshit, Din. I won’t say I don’t like hearin’ myself speak, but ninety percent of the time, it’s just talk. You know?”

In China until recently, as long ago in Britain, every building, every stone and wood was placed in the landscape in accordance with a magic system by which the laws of mathematics and music were expressed in the geometry of the earth's surface.  The striking beauty and harmony of every part of China, which all travellers have remarked, was not produced by chance.  Every feature was contrived.  The main paths of planetary influence, determined by thousands of years of astronomy, were discovered in the landscape, the smaller lines that ran between them reproduced in the crags and fissures of the earth.  These were the lines of dragon current or lung-mei.  The various parts of the earth each fell under a particular planetary influence passed down through the lines which ran above them.  Besides their lunar or solar, yin or yang, characteristics, certain lines were related to one of the five planets, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury or Saturn.  These planets correspond to the five materials, wood, fire, metal, water and earth.  Their colours are yellow, red, blue, white and black.  Other correspondences link the planets with the materials of the body, with the internal organs, and with the fortunes of men.  Even the shape of hills should conform to their astrological position.  Steep mountains with sharp sides and peak pertain to Mars; those with top broken off to Jupiter.  Hills under Saturn have a flat summit, those under Mercury are low and dome shaped, and hills of Venus are dramatically high and rounded.
