And it is there, just below his mum and Max. Capitalized letters in the name, and Lando remembers laughing about that, remembers a pair of warm eyes that had gone scrunchy when Lando’d said who puts their name in like that, muppet, are you a primary school teacher? It’s there like the ache in his limbs, like the beat of his heart in his temples: Oscar Piastri.
Alternatively: Oscar drives for McLaren. Lando is Oscar’s teammate’s best mate and (most importantly) the single father of a three-year-old daughter.

Then, the shadow began to speak. Little whisperings at first, barely more than faint breathing behind his ear. When that didn't work, he tried calling Oscar's name. Quiet to start, then progressively more annoyed until he devolved to full-on shouting and name-calling.
But Oscar grew up with the old stories. He knows not to be swayed by a demon's trickery.
