there’s something so poetic about your half empty mug of tea, cold porcelain against warm skin,
ironic, isn’t it?
there’s something so enticing about the unknown, kinky hair against smooth black skin,
perfection incarnate.
i scan the details of your biology, hoping for a glimpse into your mind,
i crave this— the ease of knowing you belong, the ease of someone who looks like me in my presence.
surround me with your laughter, till i memorize each syllable of your vocabulary, how the words spill out of your mouth, delicate, loud, calm, electric,,
i crave company— only yours,
your perfume wraps itself around me, a velvet scarf of vanilla and amber,
speak,
i will silence the noise and the echo of your voice is the only thing that will matter, the song you carry is the only thing that does matter,,
so i plead, engulf me with your thoughts,
for i do not think of any thing else but you, therefore i do not matter.
Lately I just want to disappear into hands that know every part of me
Albert Camus, The Just
it was noon, sunlight beaming down on me, bright fiery red, the smell of artificial strawberries,
a mouthful of joy, and two handfuls of you,
just how i like it,
you wrap your arms around me, and the smell of strawberries wafts through the air, filling up on warmth, filling up on you,
suddenly, everything is worth it,
even the heat, even the pain.
