People talk about how spy hates his teammates, but how can they explain the group reunion at Expiration Date after they all knew they were going to die?
Spy did that, a genuine gesture. He was trying to be nice, can you believe it? and that, of course, went unappreciated (lol). Was this man trying to help his team complete their wishes? Like, all of them? What also made me freak out was realizing that he trusted SCOUT of all people to do the task of collecting the cards. SCOUT. (what could it mean??)
And, yeah, he humilates spy in front of everybody, and is definitely not the first time. Seems like a very current thing. A scout thing. cause everyone smiles at him and it’s so gorgeous.
is good because, after falling for it, looking so done, spy looks up to his team for some kind of support just to find they have absolutly no respect for him.
NOW SOMETHING I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANTED TO POINT OUT IS THIS SCENE.
spy heard him say one little pathetic “sorry” and all his anger just melted away!!!!! you can see him staring at nothing for a second, like he realized something
and it went through my head: well, i guess spy is a big softie. but ONLY for scout (i really thought that about spy)
spy helps him, but not before getting his revenge. and that serves for all the times scout humiliated him in front of their team. he deserves it, not gonna lie. i’m pretty sure scout had done worst than the bucket incident and got alway with it. this small revenge isn’t nearly as humiliating as all the things spy had to endure but it seems to satisfy him. (now picture a parent making their child apologize for doing a prank and immediately forgiving them)
is spy nice? i like to think he doesn’t want to. he says he’ll never do anything for anyone ever again, but then he does. he’ll take a bullet for scout and no one will acknowledge and he’ll get mad, the silent kind, because it’s better this way. how could he justify it?
