I’m not a medical professional but I’d suggest talking to your doc about possibly trying gabepentin, it helped reduce my pain by a metric ton. So after a life time of increasing pain, confusion, tests, and medical gaslighting, I finally have a diagnosis. It's been fibromyalgia this entire time. Im having a lot of feelings right now. On one hand I'm never going to live a fully normal life. Fibro isn't curable and I'm going to be in some degree of pain for ever. On the other hand it's just such a fucking relief to have real answers. I've been looking for them for the past 6 or 7 years. I've felt crazy, and confused, and inadequate. I felt like I was weaker than everybody else because everyone told me I was fine but I just couldn't keep up. I'm not crazy though. Something is wrong. It's always been wrong. Im so relieved and I finally feel like I can actually accommodate myself rather than pushing to keep up with everyone else.. I feel seen for the first time. and then on a secret third hand I'm so fucking angry. My new doctor diagnosed me so easily. It took two appointments and some blood work. Why the hell could nobody else figure it out?? I've been begging for answers for years and nobody's taken me seriously for so long.. Ive done extensive research on different conditions all on my own because I've had no help. I've been told it's anxiety, or my diet, or a need to exercise but nobody's been willing to really look at me until my new gp. And when she listened to what I had to say she diagnosed me within a week.
