Regarding leaks and spoilers, this was the first thing that came to my mind. As an artist in the industry, nothing hurts more than people not respecting the work and talent it took to create a product.
Whether or not you support the spoilers, the music channels that are being taken down, or just anything related to revealing the contents, please remember what it took to create this present.
Thank you to Sakurai and everyone who worked so hard on our present.

Hi I had questions about doing commission since idk who else to ask. I am trying to sell my art but if u could answer that would be great. Does the artist always receive the money after the art is given or should artist ask for the money first? What do artists do generally if the money is not received? And what do you do if someone does not like the art u made? should u redo it but ask for more money?
Hi! I am going to speak mostly from my personal experience, I have been doing commission work for 2 years now.
Does the artist always receive the money after the art is given or should artist ask for the money first?
This is up to the artist and how comfortable they feel. I send a quick (watermarked with SAMPLE) sketch for approval alongside an invoice, and the commissioner pays in full if the sketch looks OK, only then do I actually start working on the piece. Some artists do ½ before and ½ after, and some allow payment after the piece is done.Â
What do artists do generally if the money is not received?
If the issue is simply because the commissioner refuses to pay, I usually just leave it at the sketch, and since it is watermarked they canât really use it either so they did not get anything for free. Because of instances like this I would never recommend payment AFTER youâre done a piece.Â
what do you do if someone does not like the art u made? should u redo it but ask for more money?
This is why I am a huge advocate for the âsketch, pay, paintâ, I have no issue with redoing sketches until the commissioner is satisfied with it, as they only take 15 minutes. That way youâre protecting yourself as the buyer knew what they payed for. I would not redo a piece for free, unless I personally messed up somehow or took way too long to get it done.
however, I would recommend being flexible with little changes after the piece is done, for example: changing the color of something or adding a small detail.Â
I hope this was of help :)
WOW THANK YOU VERY MUCH I REALLY LIKE THAT COMPLIMENT THAT DOESNâT SOUND LIKE SARCASM AT ALL
(look I can do sarcasm too)
On a more serious note, though. I know itâs a super popular series and you might be seeing fanart of it everywhere, but Iâm still doing my own because I too sincerely enjoy it. Let people do whatever they want, goddamnit, let them celebrate the stuff that motivates them to keep drawing and telling stories. Iâm old enough, feel validated enough as an artist and Iâm comfortable enough with the things I like to not care at all about your comment, but said comment might have reached someone more fragile about their tastes (and therefore identity, the two can be rather tangled together). I know that as a 14-16 years old, I didnât dare to talk about a lot of stuff I loved (books, music, filmsâŚ) because I was afraid that people would make fun of me because my tastes were too mainstream, or too obscure, or too childish, or not trendy enough⌠anything, actually. I canât remember the sheer number of occasions I lied about liking or not liking something to avoid being mocked, protect myself and be accepted by the people I was with. The number of times I started talking about something I loved, waited for the reaction of my audience, and if it seemed like my taste wasnât shared, quickly switched sides with a quick âYouâre right, I donât like it that much either. The plot doesnât make sense and the effects are super cheesy.â or âyeah, by âI love the Dublinersâ, I mean, my parents made me listen to them. Otherwise, my taste in music is eclectic.â. And felt like a dirty coward afterwards.
Iâm sorry for whatever makes you want to spit bile at other people, but please, donât.
(and itâs not like my last two fanarts were about an indie game about american folklore and history and a canadian mockumentary from 1996 about a washed up punk band doing reunion tour. Just saying.)
(at least youâre not in anon mode, I can respect that.)
(god the inbetweens are BAD on that gif. But I still love that series.)
(and check out the Dubliners. Theyâre awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CWIIoSf4nw)
(and if youâre not convinced yet :Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Smy59KYa_4)
Don't just be like that, there's a LOT of artist on the internet, just find some you like and that's it, there's no reason to use your time on hating and being mean against an artist, just because you don't share what you like with him.
If you don't like it, leave it and look for something you like.
There's enough hatred and negativity on internet, just don't do it.
