There are no new straight individuals. Last year, it was Vortex and Millie. This year, Millie is the only straight person who made an appearance.

Do y’all think JayJay and JoJo will be in the new Zoophobia? (Because of Dollcreep) — Also, how are they going to separate Zoophobia and Hazbin since Zoophobia had a portal to hell, Damian.. which is what lead to Hazbin. Where do we draw the line? Is ZP going to be in the same universe as Hazbin or a completely different Hell-dimension?

I can’t see JoJo making an appearance. The only reason why Jojo exists in the first place was to mock Dollcreep. JayJay on the other hand, I can see her making a cameo at best. I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t appear at all. Ideally, the main focus in said shorts should be on Zill and the squad. Seeing Cameron would be nice.

I can see Zoophobia becoming its own separate universe but we have to wait and see. If Vivziepop does make Zoophobia in the same universe as Hazbin and Helluva, I fear it would make things more convoluted than it needs to be. Both Hellaverse shows already have its’ own plot holes. I think it’s in Vivziepop’s favor to not add more to the growing list.

Watching how Charlie acted in episode 3 makes me wonder if the writers have ever encountered a 20 something naive person in their lives.

Because they genuinely seem to be thinking that naivety = stupidity. Or all naivety = a five year old’s innocence.

Naive people have the brain capacity to understand “Wait maybe I shouldn’t invite this guy, who has been nothing but antagonistic towards my hotel and went as far as calling me a dictator, to my hotel to interview me, out of the hopes that I’ll reveal my friends’ redemption and gain them on my side without having any evidence to show it.”

More importantly, naive people do not invite their friends abuser’s enablers into their comfort zone and continue to keep them there when said friend told them not to. And then break their boundaries constantly to prove a point to the said enablers.

Heck, I can’t even say this is how a naive Disney Channel animated series/movie protagonist like Mabel, Star, Rapunzel or Luz would act, because even they would have had enough braincells to not fall for obvious traps like these. They are characters that are almost HALF Charlie’s age or have been kept out of the outside world their entire lives, but I cannot see them doing half of the shit Charlie did in this episode.

Season two doesn’t feel like a repeat of naivety, it’s more an act of desperation and a want to prove herself to others. That she’s not a failure like many people perceive her as and said overwhelming feelings led to her downfall. Other than that, Charlie shouldn’t have let Vox and Velvette in the hotel especially with what happened in season one.

I’m a little tired of people acting like critics/fans are being unreasonable about this show trying to make us sympathize with a rapist. Like why are they acting like these claims came out of nowhere. Stolas is literally a rapist who started off as a villain before the show turned around and gave him a redemption. And even if Valentino never gets a redemption arc, are we supposed to act like the show and the crew doesn’t CONSTANTLY turn their relationship into a joke?

Yeah, Stolas in the pilot era was painted in a more antagonistic light.

Why does Viv steal her fans artwork and fanfiction ideas to incorporate them into her show? Does she not have original ideas of her own?

There are so many examples I can give, but a couple examples that stand out to me are these;

1). She literally STOLE fanart of human Alastor- literally copy and pasted it into the show- didn’t even bother changing anything about it.

2). There are so many works of fanfiction depicting Blitz bringing plants home for Stolas, and what do you know… in the season 3 teaser, Blitz brings home a plant for Stolas!

3). Dare I mention the fact that fans wanted Stolas to be together so badly that they wrote fanfiction about them being together, so Viv changed the entire course of the show!

I’m not upset that she listens to her fans, but it pisses me off that she rips off their ideas and passes them off as her own.

No idea 🤷. I have my own personal theory but frankly, I don’t think we are ever going to get an official answer from the woman herself. It does suck that Vivziepop has a known pattern to steal from both fans, employees, and other third party individuals because the ideas she does come up on her own are pretty creative and cool.

It’s interesting because Blake Roman claims that the team is adamant about avoiding fan related content such as theories and plot ideas so they don’t get easily influenced. Do you mind providing a link to the human Alastor fanart? I feel like Blitzø bringing plants to Stolas could be a coincidence, that has happened before in other shows. As for Stolas and Blitzø’s relationship, I feel like it was going to be canon from the beginning. It’s more or less the execution or the content itself that is the issue.

I had no idea one of the character designers for Vortex called him a "himbo". I have never once looked at any of his appearances and thought of him as a himbo, even if I do think he's pretty much blind to all of the red flags Bee was dropping, like her talking about her weird incestous but also not incestous encounter with Satan not wearing a shirt, or how she just suddenly (for what reason, I really don't know why) went off on Loona for rightfully, but passive aggressively, pointing out that people at the party like Bee better.

But that all happened in his second appearance, and more importantly, the narrative doesn't seem to think those things are red flags that he's a moron for not calling out. Just quirks Bee has, and that it's fine because she means well.

I just think it's just kind of... worth side eyeing. Calling a black man a himbo when no one, not in the show or even in the fandom, has acted like he's a himbo. He's observant enough on Loona's awkward attempt to socialize to decide to invite her to a hellhound party, and to defend Verosika from a stalker trying to get up on stage. I definitely wouldn't call him stupid, even if that's wrapped up into a word that also calls him hot.

On a related note, her saying that reminds me of when Ames (an artist at Spindlehorse who drew the Stolas family photos in Sinsmas,) was like, "Yeah, I'd totally wear a shirt where a penguin says "*slurs!!!!!!*. Why not?" The lack of self awareness that pretty much most of the (predominantly white) Spindlehorse staff have is unmatched at this point.

I can see where the Spindlehorse artist is coming from but overall I disagree with the term as you mentioned Anon, Vortex can be observant and fast on his toes. I’ve seen the fandom praise Vortex for being chill and welcoming, but that’s it. For anyone wondering, Samantha Ames (Spindlehorse artist and animator) did in fact say that about the slur shirt. Do whatever you want with that information and obviously don’t harass her.

“People goon to Makima so why do we draw the line at Valentino”

1) the reason why official accounts portray Makima as cute and endearing is because she’s meant to be DECEPTIVE. To anime fans they’re meant to read her as a potential love interest for Denji, despite it being increasingly obvious that she’s a predator

2) this weird push to make Valentino the “hot dumb one” has been going on for years and people are sick of it. That godforsaken playbill that took a year to drop had him plastered all over and calling him the hottest thing ever. Constant merch being sold that sexualizes him (though this is the least offensive one). The fact that a remix of poison has a sexy Valentino voice for no reason other than to arouse his fans. I fucking hate Valentino. Most of the community hates Valentino. Most people don’t even consider him sexy! I’ve seen people who hate characters like Loona or Alastor but call them hot. I’ve never seen that for Valentino.

3) I feel like Vivziepop just does not grasp how severe his crime is. He’s not just a rapist, he’s a SERIAL RAPIST AND A SEX TRAFFICKER. HE OWNS ANGEL DUST AS A SEX SLAVE. I DONT THINK ITS CUTE WHEN HE DRAWS DUMB PICTURES I JUST WANT HIM TO DIE

I watched a bit of Chainsaw Man on Crunchyroll’s YouTube channel for free when they were advertising the Reze movie. Obviously, it’s gone since it was only temporary but from what I saw of Makima, the cute and endearing demeanor she puts on: it’s purposefully the only side that Denji sees so it’s easier to manipulate, control, and groom him.

Am I reading that right? If so that makes why she has that demeanor on consistently in the first place to lure both Denji and the audience into a false sense of security. Other than that, the way most of the Spindlehorse crew treats Valentino is weird and tone deaf. I get humanizing him but they weigh too heavily on making him sexy and quirky. Some do find Valentino attractive whether it’s his voice or design.

Oh season 2 really shows how black and white mindsets fans sometimes have. And overall how weirdly their minds work

My favourite is definitely some people being like "Abel had no right to get guitar as memento 'cus he wasn't mourning enough/was jerk to Lute" Seriously what??? A month after the death of his asshole dad who had openly said that he doesn't like him and they expect Abel to declare revenge/cry his eyes out?

Another is people misrepresenting Charlie's "I believe anyone can be redeemed" thinking she meant "everyone will be redeemed". Like yeah she really messed up (pride really got the better of her) and deserves Angel's and Vaggie's and Husk’s anger/disappointment but damn don't be mad about the only good thing she did

Jerk to Lute? Abel was literally Lute’s bitch for majority of season 2. Brother flinched when he was around her. Charlie despite believing in every sinner, still wants them to put in the work for redemption. Naivety, desperation, and wanting to prove herself to others were her biggest flaws in season two and she definitely deserves said criticism as it made Charlie lose sight of her relationships and goals.

everytime you try to talk about the whole "nega" situation thing, those people shows up to bring up "south park" and "family guy" and I don't know how to explain WHY these shows can't be used as a "gotcha" moment.

I'd like to hear your explanation about it because it feels like they're using these shows as a way to downplay racism like "oh but these two shows has a lot of racist jokes! does that mean they should be cancelled too??"

It’s 100% a way to downplay racism along with absolving both the voice actors and Gooseworx. When it comes to comparing the adult cartoon shows and said livestream, context is important. I don’t watch Family Guy but for South Park in particular, it’s commentary about racism. It’s funny because in “With Apologies to Jesse Jackson” it basically summarizes the whole situation with Michael and Ashley.

White people actively downplaying said racial slur that an actor or celebrity said and not understanding how it actually affects the party its targeted to. The episode illustrates that black people are not a hive mind and aren’t obligated to forgive. In Ashley’s livestream, the punchline is that it sounds like the n word and that’s it. That’s why there are so many videos about the word nega.

If you had to pick between Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, which would you prefer and why?

Definitely Hazbin Hotel. I just find the premise, characters, music, and some of the humor better, enjoyable, and more interesting compared to Helluva Boss.

IM GIGGLING HAZBIN LOST THE AMAS (50 bucks says vivziepop throws a fit)

Hazbin Hotel was competing against Kpop Demon Hunters so realistically they had no chance to begin with 🤣. I think Vivziepop will be fine. I remember on her Instagram story she was quite happy and excited to be nominated with Kpop Demon Hunters.

Honestly, I know people have their issues with Gooseworx, but it's sad how toxic side of the fandom basically sucked the joy out of her.

It is sad that Gooseworx’s passion for the show slowly deteriorated overtime. But I don’t think it was purely the loud, toxic side of the fandom itself that sucked the joy out of her. I do believe it was a mixture of things that caused Gooseworx to become burnt out.

Such as the massive and fast popularity of the Amazing Digital Circus, high expectations regarding the show resulting in people putting Gooseworx on a high pedestal, personal issues Gooseworx is going through, and Gooseworx’s constant interaction with fans.

I’m sure the toxic side of the fandom had their part to play but recently it’s gotten so easy to blame them for everything that happened to Gooseworx.

I think Adam is a fun character but in my opinion he’s not a good villain. I think he was a waste of a villain and character - he has such a connection to Charlie’s family and he could’ve had some very valid points and deeper motivations against Charlie’s ideas - like being angry that Lucifer basically doomed his family and such. But he fails as a villain because he is so clearly a straw man meant to be hated and disproven, and not a character who sincerely challenges Charlie.

Exactly. As a standalone character and concept, he’s interesting and entertaining. But as an obstacle and villain towards Charlie in particular, he’s terrible. Adam is the potential man. He has all this connection and relationship with the whole Morningstar family, with his background has the ability to provide interesting yet valuable arguments against Charlie regarding redemption, and could’ve had deeper motivations to why he does the exterminations but Vivziepop and the writers doesn’t do anything with it.
