LazyBones Anon: Call me nutcase for saying it, but Devilman got better with demons, angels and Satan than Vivienne. Ain't saying about perfection, but rather some representation, even when first manga came in 1970s, is really questionable for its tropes today but I gotta say - we got chaotic demons, queer angels, evil God, flawed humans, but focused mainly on Earth rather Heaven or Hell...along with violence, sex and gore.

I mean, I'm for POC and Queer representation in media, some of Vivzie's shows it appears so, until they fall flat with following story/plotline.

P.s. - for small question: any thoughts on Devilman Crybaby?

Okay, so when people said the Viv redid the pilot…again…I was confused, but then I actually watched it, and it seems less redone and more of a continuation of the events in the Circus? I’m at this point doing a rough timeline of this ship’s get together.

They meet as children at the age of ten at the circus. Then they have a “playdate” at least what Stolas believes, then they part ways afterwards. They don’t meet again twenty-five years later at the “Not Divorced” party, Stolas is drunk and is not in the right mind to consent to sex but the writing places him as wanting it and Blitzø wants to leave with the book. Then the morning after the affair is revealed and Stolas announces the first attempt at a divorce with Stella. We now know from Mission Zero that it’s been two days—given by Stolas’ words of “the other day”—and he asks to see Blitzø again. Blitzø is uncomfortable and says “no I’m at work” to which makes Stolas come into his office and asks to be ravished—completely sober this time—and makes reference to the Circus and how upset Stella is. Blizø is uncomfortable by this and tries to apologize about that…Okay we get another moment Blitzø begrudgingly having sex…okay, okay…Now *Blitzø* is trying to keep the book under the guise of “borrowing” it to which Stolas agrees to…Alright??

I just have one tiny problem…(sorry for the all caps)…

WHAT IS THE POINT OF MURDER FAMILY?! Seriously! The only indication timeline wise is the fact that Moxxie doesn’t want to harm children! We now do need that part in the episode where Stolas calls Blitzø about the book, replying that convo they had in the original pilot as it is not pointless because they did it again! I can’t tell if really like that scene or they just couldn’t get perfect enough. Then there LooLoo Land episode where we initially thought was a couple of weeks after the affair which could still be true, but now the timeline looks messy because we’ve seen Stella upset after Murder Family, but now it’s confirmed to be before? I mean I guess it now implies that it started with yelling and in the span two weeks took to physical destroying stuff which could work for how they are presenting Stella and Octavia’s uncomfortableness of the whole situation. That works. But what doesn’t is the line “you slept in our bed” “we didn’t have time for a motel” which is now wrong because he was trying to do it in their bed again by this recent episode—which again implies it’s a day later—doesn’t work. This timeline is so janky the more stuff they add. Because now a few lines don’t make sense…and entire dialogue exchange is being retread for no reason other than to say that this is how their dynamic originally starts but it now clashes with soft undertone that we have had for last year or so. Season 1 now looks awkward placed after Mission Zero and it’s frustrating to think about because now I think this happened in over month with the affair.

Yeah I now look at Mission Zero as an attempt to continue what the Circus started but now makes the start of season 1 look off in comparison.

There are a lot of references from the 2019 pilot that are integrated in Mission Zero along with them bickering or discussing the path of the company similarly to the pilot. Mission Zero being a continuation of the Circus isn’t completely a bad thing on paper. Besides, Moxxie not wanting to kill a family. Murder Family also establishes Stolas is the one who initiates the monthly Full Moon deal with Blitzø.

In Mission Zero, Blitzø lies to Stolas in order to hold onto the grimoire. So if we are following this current timeline, how did Stolas find out that Blitzø is using his grimoire for the assassination business? Yeah, Stolas wanted Blitzø to come to the palace and claim him. I’m definitely rusty when it comes to Helluva Boss and its timeline. But, I’m definitely going to rewatch the show when season three comes out.

oh god! you mentioned that lucifer would be vulnerable to all hell. viv already wants to make radioapple a thing (or at least tease it) because she loves yaoi and sees fanart and then gets attached. she will play the same thing od stolas/blitz, asmodeus/fizz. Helpless guy needs to be saved/protected by love interest (Alastor in this case), only difference is that now they may have rivalry,bickering (so yaay something new), but I bet astor through all the sexual tensions will be "topping energy" and lucifer will be "bratbottom coded", because she can only think of these steryotipes that in a M/M relationship one is top other bottom.

bonus point fandom encouraging it with, of course luci is a bottom he is married to lilith,and plot twist he is actually not (I am married I think? he says so it's not cheating, because it would alienate fans.

Yeah, Vivziepop is a fan of Radioapple. She has been liking tweets and fanart of them on Bluesky. As for their dynamic in season three, we have to wait and see. Vivziepop did mention on Bluesky that she’s excited to explore Alastor’s identity in the show. I can see Alastor and Lucifer’s relationship being a slow burn and going through different stages. Lucifer and Lilith are separated.

I don’t remember how involved Exhelluvafan was in the situation. But, I do remember him and that user had a public argument.

What happened to Exhelluvafan? I hope he’s okay honestly. I was kinda mean to him one time where I said anonymously “I dislike you” (I forgot what I said) but I apologized but he hasn’t responded. Is he okay?

Exhelluvafan abandoned both his critical and art account. And is not returning. I haven’t spoken to him in a while, but I do hope he’s doing well and able to find success somewhere.

Husk’s magician powers are so cool, creative, and fun to watch. Valentino’s power set is mainly a mixture of him doing hand to hand combat, utilizing his guns, and implementing his pink smoke when needed. Valentino wasn’t completely useless, he did damage to Alastor. Niffty stabbing Valentino was also pretty satisfying.

Niffty being worried for Alastor is sweet then out of nowhere grabbing Husk to said location is pretty funny. But, ultimately it’s hard to fully care about their dynamic because they barely interact with each other. Niffty and Husk being at the scene did give Alastor the needed opportunity to get out of said deal from Rosie.

In the season two finale, it ended up working. He played his cards right and took advantage of Vox’s weakness and ego. Alastor was definitely projecting onto Vox when he said that there are no friends in Hell. I know Charlie said the power of friendship multiple times but honestly I don’t see it like that. I always saw that scene as a forced collaboration since they were almost going to permanently die.

The Alastor tail scene is not a “no dick” joke. It’s more or less a reference to the fandom. But it is weird that Vox was looking said tail in the first place. Written by Vivziepop or not, Angel Dust is right. Saying sorry does lose meaning after a while especially when you are repeating said mistakes. I’m glad Vivziepop and the writers acknowledged that.

I found Charlie unintentionally funny. Though, her arc is repetitive and similar to season one. Stolas repeating his negligent behavior led to his downfall. He should’ve prioritized Octavia’s wellbeing. I really hope Lucifer creating the goetia is acknowledged in the show or crossover. The Speaker of God being a phoenix is cool but her design doesn’t illustrate that aspect very well. She looks more like an extended family member of Stolas and Stella.

Couldn't Val just force Angel to stay with him. Or just summon him like Al can do with Husk and Niffty. The whole returning to abusers kinda falls flat as regardless Angel is still working there everyday doing shifts until Val says so. Val can just say to live here now. Angel really doesn't have a choice in the matter, anyway as regardless Angel still goes to see him everyday.

When it comes to power dynamics between a sinner and overlord it depends entirely on said deal and what the full arrangement is. The deal with each overlord will be different as each of them operate differently.

That would be cool and interesting if Valentino controlled Angel Dust’s every move. He is a control freak so it fits. However, Valentino can’t force Angel Dust to stay with him or at the hotel because it wasn’t apart of their deal. He can only control Angel Dust in the studio.

Charlie’s narration about Angel Dust is fine on its own. But, it could’ve been conveyed stronger. Have Charlie, Niffty, and Vaggi comfort both Cherri Bomb and Husk. In the narration, Charlie can say how much she misses him and wishes Angel Dust was here to witness this monumental moment.

You know I question if Charlie has any kind of relationship with the other sins as they're in her contact list and it would've made more sense to call one of them (more specifically Satan) to handle Vox when things got more hectic instead of trying to reach her mom who hasn't answered any of her calls for years.

Since the crossover is happening, we have to wait and see. If Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss weren’t separate shows then yeah, ideally it would’ve been a smarter move to have Charlie contact the sins. But because of said previous legality and copyright issues, the sins didn’t show up. Only appearing in cameos. So, I’m not going to hold it completely against her.

The Hellaverse fandom right now after it got revealed that current Spindlehorse employees who make fan Hellaverse merchandise can’t sell or produce it anymore.

Lucifer not being able to harm the sinners is the dumbest thing I've ever heard! It doesn't make any sense at all! I don't care what people say about "Oh it's his punishment." No, that has never been a concept in any fictional depiction of Lucifer. The decision to put that in there reeks of "Oh this character needs to win somehow against the literal KING OF HELL!" Which, is fine. I've had to get creative with my writing with powerful characters. However, there were so many other ways to have accomplished that, like maybe have Vox have stab Lucifer with an angelic weapon he picked up during the last raid. That would show the other sinners for a brief moment, "Oh well, if Vox can do that then so can we." And then, Charlie and Vaggie's argument could boil from, "Wait! YOU sent my dad there! Why?! I had it under control! Now, he's hurt!" Instead of a weak excuse that puts Lucifer's entire authority into question forever. Viv wants this show to be a drama or serious tone so bad and I see she's trying but somewhere is a refusal to commit to the fullest potential it has with that.

Lucifer’s authority in season one was already quite questionable to begin with. I do find the reveal of Lucifer not able to harm sinners to be interesting. Personally, I’m intrigued with how this plot point will advance going forward now that all of Hell knows Lucifer’s secret. Since that leaves him in a vulnerable position where sinners and overlords alike could take advantage of him.

Lucifer unable to harm sinners would also explain why he is further isolated from his kingdom along with the fact that Lilith does all the heavy lifting. I don’t mind the reveal but I do wish there were more hints in season one. But yeah, it was definitely there as a limitation which is not a bad thing as it raises up the stakes in general.

That would be cool if the angelic weapons were utilized more often by sinners resulting into another war or revolution. Adding on to your idea Anon, Vox could’ve been inspired by Niffty and her stabbing Adam. He has Baxter secretly collect said used angelic weapons and has him as a spy to exploit the hotel under the guise of it being a research paper about redemption.

Trek Anon, I remember you! It’s been a while in general. Even though, Charlie doesn’t have a good grip with her powers I do hope Rin, Dipper, and Bendy are able to reunite and help her. I can definitely see someone like Rin mentoring her during this situation.

just for clarification: amazynglyme / ang vondra wasn't fired by either kyle carrozza or vivienne medrano. ang's contract with kyle had been over for almost 4 years at the time he cut personal ties with them (and absolutely to draw attention away from his own crimes) and ang's contract with vivienne had been over for months by the time the ""drama"" happened.

and for the record, what actually happend was that ang, without contacting anyone for clarification first, publicly accused both medrano and spindlehorse of "blacklisting" them from the animation industry (a serious allegation and grounds for a defamation suit) over their callouts because they were removed from the employee discord. except when a spindlehorse HR rep reached out to them the next day it turned out they hadn't been aware of ang's personal drama until ang had accused them of conspiracy, ang had just been removed from the server because their contract had ended and they were no longer an employee. instead of apologizing or taking down their tweets, ang insisted that it wasn't their own fault for jumping to public conclusions, criticized the HR rep's "tone" and accused them of acting unprofessional, and insisted that vivienne medrano and spindlehorse, their FORMER EMPLOYERS, should have made a public statement to clarify/defend them on twitter in their personal cartoon porn drama... which of course made medrano and spindlehorse to immediately cut ties with ang.

the most bizarre part is that all of this information is still up on ang's twitter and the various google docs they've released to "clear their name" over the years. ang literally has a thread of tweets with screenshots of medrano asking ang if they'll be able to get their work done on time "next time", and ang characterizes this as medrano personally promising to give them future work instead of a polite "get your shit together". so even before their current mental break it's pretty evident that ang always lacked the capacity or self awareness to understand the reason they stopped finding animation work is that they proudly announced they are a massive liability and can't be trusted to act professionally.

I wish I looked at Ang’s Twitter (Atherist) earlier so I could look at these threads and Google documents because now it’s private. I looked through the Amazynglyme Twitter account and couldn’t find anything. Their quote on quote documentary series on the animation industry, Vivziepop, and Kyle Carrozza is also private.

Thanks for the clarification. I do have the screenshot of Sam (Probablyfakeblonde) reaching out to Ang and her being unaware of their personal drama like you mentioned in said ask up above.

It’s probably for the best that Ang fumbled their Spindlehorse position and said future opportunities. They are an unwell individual. Sooner or later, they would’ve caused unnecessary drama in the fandom.

I’m not too surprised about a private Spindlehorse based server. As they are an animation studio, they have to collaborate and distribute the work somehow. Discord servers are a cool way to get everyone together. Personal and normal run of the mill conversations are bound to happen eventually. Like you said Anon, it’s part of the work place environment. Other than that, Ang did this to themselves.

Considering most of the shorts for Helluva are strangely mission themed wouldn't Mission Zero be considered an extended short as it's not like anything really happened in it outside of imp talking a bunch with stolitz smut inbetween.

That’s an interesting way to interpret it. However, Mission Zero is supposed to be a redone version of the 2019 Helluva Boss pilot.

considering Viv can’t seem to keep any characters dead in helluva (ie Chaz and Robo Fizz) how much you bet she’s gonna end up bringing Ronaldo back with the reason being that he created another illusion to look like he died but didn’t.

Chaz in the main series is officially dead. But as for Ronaldo, it’s 50/50 at this point 🤣. Though, I wouldn’t be surprised if he made a comeback.
