New website it up

Hello everyone just a quick announcement the crew got the new website up and running meaning it’s now it’s own independent platform with it’s own account system and email notifications for new videos!  The crew also said they’ll likely be moving community comment exclusively to the site soon.  Anyways here’s the link  https://www.doormonster.tv/home

Earlier today Kyle dropped what he plans to be the last update video of at minimum this year so here’s a quick summary (link to the video at the bottom if anyone wants to check it out themselves)

So running the channel had begun to feel like a job for Kyle so he ended up taking a step back and figuring out what he truly enjoys with it and plans to focus on that throughout 2019 so that means

General:

- In order to keep up with everything Kyle is digalating a lot more tasks to other people such as Allison, Ian, and Ethan (and from my understanding paying them for it)

- The Doormonster.tv website (link) should be getting a huge revamp in the near future and they hope to expand their site to it’s own thing with some content becoming exclusive to the site with the hope of fostering a strong new community that is not reliant on YouTube

- TGT2 filming planned for spring with an expected release in late fall of 2019 (although that could change)

-They are planning to spend more time travelling around Texas and other states and possibly out of country

- Only 1 more sketch for 2018 which will be Fallout 76 planned for a Chirtimas Eve release

- Skyvault teaser planned for last December reveal

Effective 2019:

- Weekly sketchs

- Weekly community comments ( website exclusive)

- Bi-weekly Alter Egos (although they plan to make it more of a prerecorded structured style with a lot more sub plots for individual characters which he describes as “marvel like”)

- Bi-Weekly (rotating with Altered-Egos) podcast of Superherochickenfest (website exclusive)

Special event: For those of you living in or near the San Antonio Area they are planning a physical meetup and game day likely at Knight Watch Games they are currently looking at Saturday Febuaray 9th although that could still be subject to change (RSVP Link)

Overall it’s looking like an exciting new year for the crew and fans alike

Skyvault updates

So today’s extras had a few updates about Skyvaults So the biggest point is definitely that Kyle and Ian are no longer playing the main characters  Jay Harper previously played by Kyle will now be played by Havon Baraka

 And Truman Perry previously played by Ian will now be played by Jim Schubin 

and Kat Bryson played by Rachel during the trailers and in the concept art will be played by Alle Mims (picture may be wrong she doesn’t have one on her imbd page but based on her linkedin page I think this is her) 

This is largely because it’s ended up being more work than expected and partly at the producer’s requests Kyle decided that he should only do 1 job during filming  The full cast has been put up on Skyvault’s IMBd page if anyone wants to check it out  They also revealed that they have a guy for filiming all of the behind the scenes in skyvault production so they’ll have a ton of behind the scenes for skyvault  It was also Kyle’s birthday some time recently although I do not know the exact date there was some brief footage of the party shown in the video as well as some behind the scenes for bad dice  If you missed the video and want to watch it for yourself here’s the link https://youtu.be/aZPwQElENaw  - Zardary

Some big news

So instead of a sketch today the crew released a video explaining a lot of what has happened and how their plans have changed, if you wanna watch the full thing: https://youtu.be/439Pk4qSfEI but I’ll quickly summarize - Kyle and Allison are now engaged  - Kyle and Allison were dating before they got engaged (For those who missed the 2 or 3 times they said it in the skyvault month livestreams)  -  They’ve run out of prerecorded sketches  - They became worried about quality of skyvault based on the 155 000$ budget and they ended up in contact with another group of producers in contact with Netflix and are hoping to get Netflix to greenlight the show  - In order to get Netflix to greenlight the show they’re investing all of the budget into a 1 episode pilot allowing them to make it how they want it and hopefully get a full budget from netflix or some other company for the other 11 episodes which should drastically increase the quality  - They assured that they wouldn’t sign any contracts that could result in them losing artistic freedom in the first season or lose the full Ip  - Because they’re now only working on episode for atleast a few months if not longer and they have a bunch of nice and new cameras and it was already half written they’re going to be working on a guards themselves sequel in the meantime along with returning to the biweekly sketch formula  - Revealed an updated sketch schedule for the remainder of the year, link from @salfur https://www.reddit.com/r/DoorMonster/comments/95178u/updated_upload_schedule/  - We’re probably going to have to start telling Kyle to get enough sleep again soon  TL;DR: Kyle and Allison engaged, Skyvault pilot in production other 11 episodes delayed and TGT2 announced  - Admin Zardary
