It’s been ten years.

I still remember what I was doing when I found out, I remember how I lost my breath, I remember my heart skipping a beat. I remember the instant sorrow that overwhelmed me. I will always remember that day.

It still doesn’t feel real and part of that is Michael Jackson’s lasting legacy. The albums will always be there, the short films, the endless videos and photos and interviews etc. etc.

Ever since I was a kid Michael Jackson has made me feel less lonely. It’s weirdly personal, to the point that being a fan felt like being a friend. Aside from his talent, his soul was so pure and kind and just… captivating. He was a good man, and I will always believe that. He put so much good out in to the world and he still makes me want to be a better person.

I will always be a fan of Michael Jackson. I will never stop defending him and loving him.

I wish he could have had many many more years. Let’s never stop celebrating him and his legacy. Because he is worth celebrating every single day.
