Day 2. #molliemakersweek Prompt: Making spot. This is mine and I love it, it’s very sunny[ well...when sun comes in UK☺️] Many of you know that I use to have a studio in an art gallery in town. I moved. I moved home. It’s not an actually room studio, it’s an extension of our dining room, but it’s way much better then e v e r. I like to keep it tidy and I like to be very organised with my work especially because most of my dolls are going to play with little people, so I clean up my “place” every evening after “work”. Day 2. #molliemakersweek Prompt:YOU[ that would be me] My name is Doriana, I am a Capricorn, mother of 2, married to a bearded man. I learned how to sew in my childhood from my grandmother, she was a seamstress in her village, but only started to make dolls in 2010 after I bought a teddy bear made of cotton by an old lady. It was an impactful moment for me[a pregnant woman can be emotional]. I am a self though doll maker/ knitter/ crocheter with a banking background. I may be obsessed with: 1. Coffee 2. Linen 3. Shoes 4. Anything knit(hats, mittens, socks, jumpers) 5. Charity shops In fact, this picture was made by my mother in law in an @oxfaminternational shop. (That hat😍) You see? Because so many of you asked me about m2b stitch from the Heirloom Bear Doll project from @molliemakes magazine, I made this video to show you slowly how I make it. The definition of m2b that I used in the project is: “insert your needle into the right of the V of the stitch below the one on your left needle and knit it, now knit the next stitch (normally), then insert your needle into the left of the V of the same stitch and knit it.” * To find it easier at the last step I moved the left side of the V on the left needle, then knit it.
