Vichy Normaderm Skin Care Line for Oily Acne Prone Skin

These products were sent to me from Chick Advisor for review. These products are perfect for my skin type and does not leave my face dry and flaky. 

I've wrote a review for each product on ChickAdvisor.com but I will also write a summary here on my thoughts about each of these products and I may take a photo of each product individually so you can see each product more clearly.

I'm very pleased about these Vichy products overall.

My experience with Amope Foot-care!

I first came across the Amope brand and the Foot File Device when the brand was first launched in Canada last summer when they had a Free Pedicure event that made the Guinness Record or the most pedicures anywhere ever! 

At the event I the pedicurist lightly filed both of my feet bottoms followed by filing my toes nails and then polished with a shade from Sally Hanson. After the pedicure we were given a coupon for $5 off any Amope foot-care device or refill.

Then I learned that Chick Advisor was offering the device for review. I applied but didn’t get chosen as one of the participants. I forgot if I ended up using the coupon or not, but I did end up purchasing the Blue foot file device and a pack of refills from Shopper’s Drug Mart last summer. Since then I've been using the foot file device and find it to be the best one available out there.

Half a year later I was sent a package with the Amope nail care system and the same foot device in Pink which had a coarser roller on it. The coarser rollers are available as refills that can be purchased separately. So if you already bought the blue device you can just purchase the coarser rollers as refills. The regular rollers and the coarser rollers are the exact same price and comes in a package of two.

As for the electronic nail care device, I don’t think it’s as good as the foot file device. Although it’s a good product it didn’t meet all of my expectations. I had very high hopes for it after my experience with the foot file had great results. I love the foot file device but only like the nail care device somewhat.

I've been using Amope products ever since. However I haven’t tried their foot cream or the gel insoles yet. I've purchased a pair of gel insoles from Dr. Scholl’s before so I'm guessing that the Amope ones work pretty much the same. To moisturise my feet bottoms I use lotions and body butter so not sure if I’ll be purchasing the Amope foot cream soon. If I do I’ll most likely write a short review post on here. I think I might try to get a hold of those 2 products just for reviewing purposes and trying it out for myself and letting you guys know my thoughts on them.

The last photo I've decided to post here just because I happened to have seen it and it is the best deal for Amope I've seen in Canada. It’s currently on Rollback at Walmart. Unless you have a special coupon, I don’t think you can get a better deal than this at this time in Canada.

Saje Wellness Grand Opening at CF Markville Shopping Centre!

Saje Wellness is a well-known Canadian Health/Beauty & Wellness  brand in Canada with stores all over Canada and is also available in United States and overseas. 

I've only found out about Saje Wellness in recent months and wasn't familiar with the brand and its products at all. I learned that they already have several stores within the Toronto GTA, but I haven’t been inside any of them prior to this store. I do admit that I've walked by one of their locations before, but didn't have enough time to check things out. So when I recently heard of a new store opening that is closer to me I had to check it out and I'm very glad that I did.

As I approached the Saje Wellness store I could smell a very nice scent. While I was inside, I could feel a relaxed, soothing ambience. I forgot what music the DJ played but it made the environment feel more upbeat. As we looked around the store, we were greeted with a small cup of tea and cute little cookies. The Grand Opening discount for that evening was 10% off when you bought 1 item only and 20% off the entire purchase if you bought 2 items or more, which was a bonus to the fun evening of shopping and exploring different products.

All of their products are 100% natural which is wonderful! I like different bath and beauty product brands such as The Body Shop and Bath & Body Works just to name a few, but not all of the ingredients in their products are natural and The Body Shop have discontinued a lot of their Aromatherapy products within the last few years. Saje Wellness has become my go-to brand for all things Aromatherapy right now, although I'm still new to this brand. 

Saje Wellness is most well known for their natural healing products that can treat many types of ailments from colds, headaches, to indigestion, and many more. However, they also have a good range of beauty products including soaps, bath salts, face and body creams and lotions.

The main attraction that seem to get most people excited about are the range of Ultrasonic Nebulizers that diffuse water vapour containing therapeutic essential oils. The machine has multiple purposes. It acts as both an air purifier and humidifier to make the dry and dirty air cleaner and more breathable while creating a welcoming atmosphere that improves mood and overall well-being. It’s great to have inside the home especially if you have allergies as it helps remove odours and allergens with negative ions it produces.

As I've already mentioned that they already have several locations within the Toronto GTA and also all over Canada, they are also easily accessible online and always have different promotions and deals most of the time with free shipping on orders over $75. I recommend checking out Kate’s Favourites which Saje Co-founder Kate chooses a few of her favourite products each month and have them on promotion from 20-30% off the regular price. What a great deal!!!

They've also just opened a location at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket and they are set to open another store at Yorkdale Shopping Centre set to open in the Expanded New Wing during Fall/Autumn.

While you can always shop online conveniently, I do recommend checking out an actual physical location where you can see, smell and test the products for yourself to find out what suits you best, especially if you are completely new to the brand and its products. Nine West Fall 2016 Preview

The Nine West Canada Fall 2016 Preview and Fashion Show was held at Airstrip 37 located in Toronto’s Distillery District. The evening began with invitees awaiting in their seats the long anticipated fashion show. There was a “mountain” of assorted shoes in the middle of the runway which looked quite unique. It turns out that it’s to make awareness of the shoe donation collaboration Nine West Canada has with the charitable organization Shoe Bank Canada.

Over twenty-billion shoes are produced annually with over 300=million pairs discarded and ending up in landfills. Shoes contain ethylene vinyl acetate, a material usually found in the mid-sole of running shoes, and it can take up to one thousand years to decompose.

Since 2010, Nine West Canada has partnered with Shoe Bank Canada to decrease environmental footprint and help those who are less fortunate through donations of gently worn footwear and bags to Canadians in need. Nine West Canada and Shoe Bank Canada believe that “No Canadian should have to want for a decent pair of shoes.” This fall, the goal is to create the biggest “mountain of shoes” to donate across Canada.

The fashion show was quite fast-paced and showcased tons of exciting new looks for shoes and handbags in the new collection for Fall-Winter 2016.

TFI Press & Buyers Tradeshow Oct 21-22, 2015

World MasterCard Fashion Week (WMCFW) may be over but the line-up of amazing participants at this season’s TFI’s Press and Buyers Brunch Trade-show (TFIPBB) has buyers and media talking. Twice a year the team at Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) puts together an unparalleled Canadian boutique style event featuring some of today’s most innovative designers in apparel and accessories.

On October 21st and 22nd Canada’s biggest names in fashion, media and buying attended the two-day event in The Studio at David Pecaut Square. Designers met and networked with over 135 attendees. Notable guests included: Dina Pugliese, host, Breakfast Television; Naomi Snieckus, Mr D, CBC; Saks Fifth Avenue; Hudson’s Bay Company; Elle Quebec, Global News; FLARE; The Kit; Sporting Life; Sash and Bustle; Shopgirls; and Three Fates Shop to name a few.

In addition, exclusive fashion showroom The Stylist Box returned for its second TFIPBB to present one of the event participants with the “Designer of the Season Award”. Nine West Canada X Anne Klein Spring/Summer 2016 Preview!

Nine West‘s Spring/Summer 2016 preview was held at Berkeley Event Space Field-house and how Lovely and Amazing it was!!

There were three different themes showing the various looks from Nine West and Anne Klein.

Besides the Pretty Popcorn and Tasty Lemon-icious Mocktails, we saw a bunch of Fun and Amazing Accessories that will Vamp up your 2016 wardrobe for sure!

Some were classic Nine West items such as their signature backpack that took on a new reincarnation. New since last season is their sunglasses and jewellery lines.

There were three different themes showing the various looks from Nine West and Anne Klein.

“Playtime” featured eye-popping bright colours such as blue,  green,   orange, red,  yellow, and  fuchsia. There was a vibrant energy going on.

This new upcoming Nine West Spring/Summer Collection will be available in May 2016 at retailers across Canada, that is Nine West and major department stores like the Hudson’s Bay Company.
