My favorite parts of the funimation dub are how some of the lines are said, like there's this one scene where natsumi and koyuki go to a restaurant and koyuki is like "WOW, look at all the tables!!!" Or something like that and natsumi just goes "yeah, and they got cups too" and the delivery of that line gets me all the time

OH ABSOLUTELY. the line delivery is the best part, its what makes the stupid jokes funny in the first place... generally speaking the voice acting is very. how do i put this. anime dub-ish, in that the character voices are often overexaggerated and archetypical but that doesnt mean its bad. obnoxious for sure but somehow that makes it even funnier at least to me LOL. plus you can immediately tell it's a funimation dub because Todd Haberkorn and Christopher Sabat are in it. i dont even watch very many dubs but those are The Funimation Dub Guys

i love shows where every character has a wildly distinct voice and the sgt frog dub is a great example. i know exactly what episode youre talking about too, its the one where keroro and tamama dress up as human teenagers and go on a weirdly elaborate date while giroro stalks natsumi on her date with koyuki lol

i can never tell what's made up for jokes and what's a direct translation when it comes to the captions and that somehow makes it funnier. the funimation dub does everything in it's power to make this show as close to an abridged series as possible

he reminds me of funimation dub fuyuki. am i crazy or does he kind of sound like him or at least have similar inflection lol i can imagine him saying a lot of these lines especially the melatonin thing

my favorite part of this episode is when kululu starts talking from off screen and then it pans up and hes sitting on the cabinet like a cat. he likes to be tall

the most important thing you have to remember when writing keroro is that he has no idea whats going on around him 80% of the time he's just thinking about gundam and virtually nothing else
