WISCareer report

My highest interest areas are Investigative, Artistic, and Realistic. Honestly the other three areas sound terrible and terrifying. I noticed that my Enterprising scores were the worst. I also don’t know why my Social score was 62 because I think I would extremely dislike a Social job. Conventional / organizing jobs also sound very unappealing. But I agree that Artistic, Investigative, and Realistic jobs would be good, in that order, mostly Artistic and Investigative though.

Examples of jobs in Artistic, Investigative, Realistic: Fashion design, visual arts, hairdressing, health & safety, interior design, applied science, etc, according to the sheet. According to the report, some occupations that were listed were: agronomist, animator, astronomer, electronic engineer, geographer, horticulturist, information scientist, mathematician, etc.

ITA 8/3 summer camp

According to the LASSI-HS, I seem to be proficient in school-related anxiety (or the lack of it), information processing, motivation, and test strategies. I don’t have much advice other than if you do your homework and get your grades up early, bad test scores won’t have as much of an impact so test stress will be lessened. Also, if you don’t understand the material, you can’t apply it to different situations and questions. I seem to be struggling in: attitude, time management, self-testing, selecting main ideas, and concentration. I think a bad attitude affects many things. I can try to convince myself that what I’m doing is helpful in the long run. I can also try to get rid of distractions which will help with concentration and time management. Overall I’m surprised my scores were relatively high.

Web Design day 2

I learned how to declare objects in JavaScript. I learned that data types don't matter in JavaScript variables.

My favorite part of the day will be lunch. So far it was doing the JavaScript course.

You could get really nice speakers for the music!

Web Design Day 1

HTML is the content of the webpage. CSS is the style that is applied to HTML pages.

It's important to know the box model so that you can control how the elements on your webpages are spaced.

I don't like Codecademy so far because it's simple and boring. The making of the website was cool but then we had to do the HTML & CSS course which was basically a step back. In the HTML course, it's not like anyone uses <strong> tags or inline styling in text. I learned about Bootstrap and it was very smart how they made a ton of premade classes and the grid. I liked the fonts in the Airbnb website.

Color Theory Day 2

Today our recoloring project was introduced and my theme for it was "old." We reviewed color schemes and learned some more about color psychology. I tried to make the picture yellowish, green, and brown. I then added some spots of red to make it less boring. I added adjustment layers to make it even more yellow and desaturated. Below is what I did today.

ITA 1/10 Color Theory

Today was the first day in Color Theory class. We made color wheels, and learned many terms about color theory. We also learned some color relationships like analogous and split complementary. I hope to learn about choosing colors for drawing, why some colors look nice together. Also why do some colors look different when they are on top of a different one, like a certain skin tone looks purplish when added to the base color even though it's not.

12/13 Last day Photography and Graphic Design

I liked photoshop. Illustrator was really annoying in selecting the objects, erasing, blending, making shapes, manipulating them, and the options. Also, I'm more familiar with photoshop. My favorite project was probably the website layout. In the rest I had to use illustrator and photography, which I'm not very interested in. I learned a lot about how to use photoshop and illustrator though.In photoshop the layer effects were really nice. In Illustrator for me nothing was nice.

ITA 12/6

I like user interfaces like google's apps, iOS7, Tumblr. They are nice to use because they don't use many ugly gradients. They also have very fluid animations when clicking and doing other mouse actions. The colors are nice too. The UI looks clean and polished. Also, they are not overwhelming and it is easy to find stuff. For example MS office 2007 is very ugly compared to 2013 because of the colors, gradients, fonts, etc.

I am doing a game homepage for the website project. Many MMORPGs have similar things like a bar up top for log in and the company name. There's a menu bar then the content below. Usually there is a big "play" button.

ITA reflection first post

My most played song on my iPod is Wedding Dress by TaeYang.

If I could stay at any age, I would stay at age 10.

The best gift I have received is my Wacom tablet but that changes a lot actually.
