The soundtrack was great, the sets were fascinating to look at, I loved the whole circle around with the therapy session/rhetoric. But it was so bland to watch as a sequence of events. Woof.

ISAAC "HOP" ADIMOVA

Hop serves as Jay's lead sound designer whenever his work is transcribed to the screen. The project they work the most closely on is Splash (which you can read about here if you like, I really went into unnecessary detail because I want Jay to feel like a real author despite his works not existing teehee). Jay essentially saved Hop's life by encouraging him to speak up for himself and pursue his passion for music. He makes all kinds of music, though the tunes he's most known for have a Splatoon sort of sound, as he crafts the main OST for Splash, as mentioned above. Anxiety incarnate, only calm when he's had a shot or two or has a guitar in hand; aside from music, he loves baking, watching movies and volunteering at his local pet shelter on a bi-weekly basis. A lot of Hop's arc is very simple and relatable in my opinion, because it's about him learning how to set boundaries, and generally not let anxiety rule his life. He has a silly little crush on Jay, though it isn't the romantic sort; it's more of a "this guy is so fucking cool, look at his cool work and his cool shades and how he shuts down rich pricks trying to change/steal his work, I want to Be That" sort. They're best friends.

Jay is one of those people where, if he gets quiet, that's when you know you've truly fucked up. If he's loud and boisterous and arguing with you, there's probably some passion in it. If he goes quiet and icy, you're well and truly fucked.
