“But it wasn’t as interesting as it sounds, young lady. Loki and I had no friends and our social skills were very poor. Hence why we got into trouble the few times we were allowed to play with other children. Don’t you want to have friends?”

“I have you. You’re my friend. Why do I need other friends? I have my teddy bears and I can just be with you and travel the galaxy. I have uncle Loki too. He loves me.”

“All Gods go to school, young lady,” Thor crouched down to tie her shoelaces, “learning is a very important task. We leave the adventures for the weekends and vacations.”

New Asgard had schools filled with children of different species. It would be nice for Love to join them.

“Do you know what will improve your experience at school?” He kept a suspicious tone, “new school supplies, come on,” he extended his hand to her, “let’s get you what you need for school. What about a magic bag that will keep your notebooks safe?”

“I’m a Princess now, right? Princesses don’t go to school. Learning is important but all the other kids will make fun of me,” she felt a little afraid after all. She had a few things they could pick on. Though her laser eyes might persuade them to stop if she so used them.

She took his hand, looking at him curiously. “I could be your sidekick. Uncle Loki mentioned you need to get help anyways...something about you use get help or something that sounded weird.”

“I like magic, Uncle Loki has magic too.”

“I will remind him of his wedding. I promise. Tell me all the stories of Uncle Thor,” he was a little bit of a hero to her and really he had taken her in and cared for her when her father had died. “I’ll be good and listen!”

“Jane was a very brave lady to keep fighting even though it hurt,” She said as she had known a little of what Thor went through only through what little he explained. “You’re important to me so if she was important to you, she’s important to me too. I will talk to her at bed time and maybe she will guide you because I know you are sad..” she said, looking at his eyes. She was a bright little girl for her age. “You’re strong willed too. You know, you’re my hero.”

“School isn’t a prison! You get to learn all sorts of new things an open up even more possibilities.” Jane was starting to sound like a public service announcement but there wasn’t much to do about that.

“It’s super fun.”

“Jane! Thor tells me lots about you. He tells me you are his special one. But he didn’t tell me you like school. School sounds like a bad place. They put you with a bunch of other children and make you learn things. I want to be with Thor and save the Galaxy...Thor won’t be with me in school. I’m scared.”

Hang on tight, cousin! A warning, as he began to run now, he was still careful, he had to make sure the little one wouldn’t fall off after all! But if he was to be a battle steed, he had to be FAST

“I will be good too. I will brush my teeth like Uncle Thor says even though the paste tastes icky and Midgardians have strange brushes.” She scrunched her nose at the taste but giggled suddenly as Fenrir got a burst of speed. 

“You are so fast Fenrir. You are the fastest wolf I know.” She was gripping his fur to hang on, looking a little gleeful with the attention he was giving her. “Promise me cousin that you will always let me pet you?”
