The Wolf : A Resident Evil backstory.
In Montana, it can snow 6-8 months of the year. Even on May 6th 1975 there was snow. Thor was born in rural Montana, a beneath a sky so wide it made any person feel small. His childhood was shaped with long winters, hard work, and the quiet understanding that strength wasn't about dominance. it was about protection. His father taught him how to fix engines and split wood. His mother taught him that silence could say more than anger ever would.
He grew up big. Bigger than most boys his age. People assumed that meant he was built for fighting. What they didn't see was that he was meant for shielding.
When Thor was seventeen that winter took everything. His parents were killed in a highway accident during a snowstorm. Black ice, a transport truck and a stretch of road that had always felt safe. He wasn't in the car, but had been out doing far more reckless things with his friends than his parents would have ever considered.
Upon returning home, he saw the flashing red and blue lights against white snow. such a harsh contrast in the middle of the night. There was no extended family. No one waiting in the wings to catch him.
By the time he graduated high school, there was nothing left for him in Montana. So he enlisted in the United States Air Force within weeks.
The military gave him structure. Purpose. A place where strength meant something again. He excelled in tactical operations and air support roles, steady under pressure and unshakeable when others faltered. He didn't talk much, but when things went wrong, he moved towards danger.
It was during these years that he crossed paths with Chris Redfield. The two served together and built a bond rooted in battlefield trust rather than words. After Chris left the military, Thor stayed in even if his career ended in disaster. The helicopter transporting his unit went down leaving him the only survivor. Thor pulled himself from the wreckage with severe injuries that resulted in him being medically discharged.
He carried survivor's guilt like a heavy heavy burden until years later Chris Redfield found him, this time representing the BSAA The world had changed and the threat of bioterrorism was rising. Monsters were no longer fiction and Chris needed someone he could trust implicitly.
It took years of healing mentally and physically but this was his chance to get back into a field where what he did actually MATTERED. It would give him purpose again.
Within the BSAA , Thor serves as the team's blunt force instrument along side Skalli, his service - turned k-9 unit - companion. She is highly trained and was originally asigned to assist Thor's recovery. But what began as medical necessity became something much deeper. Skalli is not only a service animal, she is Thor's anchor. Calm when Thor is silent, Alert when Thor is tense.
Thor is one biggest operatives in the field, a heavy hitter who breaches doors, holds the line, and steps into the worst of it without complaint. He is not flashy. He is not reckless. He is steady. Dependable. The kind of man you want beside you when everything goes wrong.
He does all this and survives because he has something to live for. A daughter by the name of Lainey. She's rambunctious and looks just like a mini Thor. He'd do anything for her and don't dare get in his way. He is far more lethal than any monster or agency.
