...They say, after joking about playing tug-of-war with the tail of a creature they were currently holding upside-down. It was fun when they did it to Ai, but Tee always steps in to ruin the fun.

“Besiiides... We wanted your attention for something!” Elle takes out a flyer for something and shoves it in Tee’s general direction.

It’s hand-made, and the first thing you can read is “Give us money!” in red print. It goes on to list that the duo was “taking a step in the right direction” and “providing for security of the Tetra.”

“We were gonna post these the next time we went to the world with the Puyos, but maybe you’d be willing to donate!”

The twins both stare at the money, starstruck. This was the most money either of them had seen at any given time. Jay stepped forward. 

“W-well, this, uh… this is a lot, and uh, I’m not sure if we can take this-”

He probably would’ve kept stammering like that if Elle didn’t step up and just snatch the money off of the table.

“Thank you!~ Don’t worry, we’ll use it well!” [$550/2500]

This is gonna end in nothing but fire and pain, and I wanna watch. [$20]

“Every donation means you get a front-row seat to Tee very clearly enjoying our investment into the safety of the Tetra.” [$50/2500]

They’re beaming, a signal that, in practice, means they’re gonna pull something amazing off. That’s not a good sign. [$30/2500]

The place really hadn’t changed much since last time Lemres had come. It had been a while since he went to visit Suzuran, though even a great warlock like him couldn’t fully control where he ended up, most of the time. He was usually warped around like a few others in his own world, though he also sometimes warped as results of powerful matches.

It was a nice, quiet place, all things considered. Somehow a lot less busy that the town he resided in, so he liked it for that. Maybe he’d find someone he knew and hit them up for a little chat and candy break. A fun puyo match potentially awaited, as well!

Though, of all people whom Lemres expected to find, the ones that he did see were…

…Not even of this world. He really wasn’t expecting those two to be here.

The comet warlock wasn’t extremely familiar with them, although he had seen them quite a few times, back when the dimensions had started to merge into one another.

They were Jay and Elle, a pair of twins part of the Tetra crew. Surprisingly, Lemres was able to recall their name, as well as recognize them, but other elements were a bit foggy. Hopefully, they were able to remember him as well, even if only partially. Why were they here, anyways?

Approaching the twins slowly, Lemres made a lollipop appear in each of his hands. He was at least going to greet them first, before anything else.

“Hello~ It’s~ been~ a~ whi~le has~it~not? May you two care for some candy?”

The twins locked eyes with the candy warlock. Is this one of those times when someone recognizes you, but you don’t recognize them, and you don’t ask who they are because that would be disrespectful? Why else would this person come up to them acting like he knows them? The twins offhandedly whisper, or rather, “whisper,” to each other.

“Do you know him?”

“…No, not really.”

Now, Tee had warned them not to talk to strange people, although after they crashed, that seemed like a null point, and Zed would’ve literally murdered them with the advice if he could’ve, but this person seems to know them, so it doesn’t count… right?

Any way you cut it, candy from a semifriend is a good deal. The twins looked at each other, shrugged, and took their respective lollipops from their acquaintance.

““Thank you!”“

“You’re~ Wel~co~me~~! I have many more sweets, if you two are interested~  Ya just have to ask!”

Lemres was always happy to give out candy and it seemed like a good way to grab the twins’ attention as well. He had a slight feeling, however, that something was off, though he couldn’t confirm it just by his own thoughts. 

None of them should really be in this world, all things considered. Taking a more direct approach while the two enjoyed their current lollipops, Lemres asked:

“By the way… What are you two doing here?”

[double-mischief]

“Oh, the usual. W-”

“We dunno.”

“...Well, if you wanna be blunt about it...”

Elle rolled her eyes, then turned back towards Lemres. “Honestly though, we’re doing our own thing. We have no idea why we stopped here again.”

“Maybe Tee went to see that apple chick. Whisperingly, I think he liiiikes heeeer~”

The way Jay spoke put them both into a giggling fit. Clearly, it sounds like this was information they were not supposed to know.

So off to the control panel they went, following behind Elle’s double. Once they got to the control panel, though, they were stumped. Sets of unlabeled buttons, and of course they had to all look the same. The control stick was the simplest thing in the cockpit, and was still confusing! …Or was it a steering wheel? They had never listened when Tee talked about it.

“Well, I’m pretty sure I’ve played enough video games to understand this, but let’s just make sure.” With that, Elle took the control… thing, and pushed it forwards, which started tilting the ship downwards.

“…I think your can-do attitude is gonna kill the four of us.”

“ Wait, hold on a second, I don’t– ” ..And before he knew it, the ship had being going down. Jay had been lunged forward a bit from not being prepared, though he quickly re-gained his balance and grabbed onto the nearest object. “ Well, this is totally going to end well.. ” He muttered, before adding “ Sarcasm intended. ”

“ And now that we’re facing down, let’s… Er.. ” Elle paused, looking at the buttons before them. She just pressed a random one, which happened to send them backward. “ Acceler– No, wrong direction–!! “ She quickly pressed another button, which had finally put them forward. “ Accelerate! ” She called out. Let’s hope they don’t crash.

Jay was already done with dealing with his twin, so he just walked over to his double and placed a hand on his shoulder. 

“Nah, don’t worry about it, she’s a professional.” He sneered, with enough sarcasm dripping from his statement to flood the ship and then some. “Well, it could be worse; Tee could be chewing us out for trying to drive the ship.” He rolled his eyes and scoffed. Now that would’ve been terrible. He could hear it now. “Hey, driver, how’s it going up there? You know what you’re doing?”

“Nope!”

“...Um.” 

And that’s how a day goes from bad to worse.

“ Well, we would suggest pranking the others… “ Jay spoke aloud, before Elle finished his thought by saying, “ But we don’t really want to lose these BB’s we got yet! “ Elle motioned toward the gun in her right hand. Jay smiled, and then told his plan. “ So, we were thinking that we could…. Oh, land the ship and prank some strangers! That way, we won’t get caught with guns. “ Jay chuckled. Elle motioned for the three to follow her, and started running over to the ship’s control panel. “ C’mon, we gotta figure out how to land this thing! “
