Sorry for not being around here or on @doubleboosting, muse has taken a sharp nosedive as of late. I’ll be working on a personal project to try to get my bois back, though, but it might take a while.

“Why delay the inevitable?” he watched the bird dive for his weapon, narrowly avoiding the brunt of the lightning as it grazes his mask. Wincing, Infinite clutched briefly at the Ruby embedded in his chest. He was doing more harm than the bird was…

“Very well, I’ll end this quickly for your sake..” 

The gem glowed in his chest as he channeled all the energy he could to it, hoping to gain enough to release a burst of power so he could control the nearby reality.

That glow- he recognized it well. The Phantom Ruby was charging for an attack. He had to make some kind of move, or he was doomed... the Rookie acts, making a reckless lunge and swinging the whip at his foe in the hopes of interrupting him...!

Infinite was making his rounds through metropolis flying to make sure everything was going according to plan soon everything and everyone will fall.

Though out of he corner of his eye down below he spotted a figure,that stood out from the rest-a resistance memeber surly,this pest must be rid of immediately,infinite started to fly down towards the other.

Oh god, it was him- the one who took down Sonic. The bird was trying to work up the nerve to help fight back, to take even one shot... but he couldn’t. This guy killed Sonic, how did someone like him have any chance...? As he hesitates, the city around him burns, friends and allies falling until he was the last survivor, frozen in fear.

“. . .”

Words fail him, the bird hesitantly reaching for a nearby wispon from a fallen fighter... but he clumsily drops it as he attempts to aim. His terror was clear, the monster floating in the air above striking pure fear into his heart...
