#Timbuktu (Mali) had a university in the 1500s, before Europe's colonization of #Africa, that taught mathematics, physics, art, medicine & surgery, philosophy, linguistics, chemistry, astronomy, etc, to 25,000+ students. #teachhistory #history #postcolonial Photo ©yesurdu https://t.co/6v1MWMLaFX (at Jos, Nigeria)
The Great #Zimbabwe mortarless stone monument was built by #Africans about 900 years ago with walls as high as 36ft. Because of the impressive technique, the colonial Rhodesian govt, centuries later, wanted it attributed to European builders. #teachhistory #history #postcolonial #thegreatzimbabwe Photos ©Getty images https://t.co/X9T8jAfIJU (at Jos, Nigeria)
The defensive Ancient #Kano #City Walls were built in the 12th century. They were about 40ft high and had a foundation about 40ft. In 1903, Lugard wrote that he'd never seen anything like these walls in #Africa. #teachhistory #postcolonial #history Photo © Nigeriarealestatehub https://t.co/6s7e40oVtz (at Jos, Nigeria)

#Repost @manjajadifur (@get_repost) ・・・ THE EMERGENCE OF THE RE-FOUNDING FATHERS... In the book, "Na so we go de dey?", I revealed from my several diggings that Nigeria took off on a wrong footing. I highlighted with proves that the founding fathers started out being spurred by the wrong reasons hence, wrong intentions. I stressed that what they negotiated with the colonial masters was the territorial and political independence of Nigeria and not the psychological. We've lived an illusionary freedom all these 57 years. It's the same old men that landed us in this mess and we shouldn't naively expect them to be the ones to liberate us from it. What's the solution? There must be raised a generation of young people with liberated minds who'd go back to the foundation and correct what the founding fathers were ignorant of. They are to be called "THE RE-FOUNDING FATHERS" and the freedom they'd negotiate with the 'old men' in power is the psychological freedom of Nigeria. So, to avoid writing a big book that scares people away, I decided to split it into two parts. There'll be a sequel to this book and it would be titled "THE EMERGENCE OF THE RE-FOUNDING FATHERS". This will be released on independence day. But first of all, get ready to have bites of NA SO WE GO DE DEY? come February 14th. Ebook will be absolutely free. Paperback is just 1500 naira and available for preoder. #NaSoWeGoDeDey

I remember chatting with @keziahjonesofficiel at Jazzhole in Lagos sometime last year. Such a humble guy and guitar magician. People like this always inspire you to go beyond what you think you can do. (at Jos Plateau)
