Naturally there was no verbal response which Asura could offer, for she lacked the ability to do so. However, she gave a slow nod of her head - mild honesty, hopefully enough to ease the inevitable tension. Governed by the other’s rather docile approach, it seemed that there was hardly a suspicion dangling about her mind. Therefore, she allowed herself to assume a less threatening stance, stepping into the light to reveal herself. It was quite the opposite of her usual tactic, but violence during such an immature stage of her plan would not bode well for her chances of success. Quietly, she tapped the front of her throat and shook her head. Hopefully that signal would convey the truth of her mute nature.

she was a mute, huh. She didn’t seem quite friendly, though there was no need to judge one person by its appearance, even if Sapphire did have a tad bit of hatred toward humans and faunus’. The room was silent, it was as if they were in a very extreme intense conversation, but in reality, it was more or less awkward ( for her, at least. ) & she tried to put a smile on, keeping it friendly there was no need to be harmful or rude at this hour. even though these were the hours where as Sapphire was the most fragile she could ever get.

It was a natural response if an outsider had mentioned of his species, he did not know this woman so this facade came forth. She seemed like an interesting one, good looking that’s for sure but Draven’ll keep those thoughts in the back of his mind. With head canting off to the side and hands place themselves on his hips, the hunter spoke. “What ever gave ya that idea? Think yer watchin’ too many shows on netflix.”

she was more sarcastic when someone had such a personality. She didn’t lie, he was some special specie that she knew nothing of, but she had h e a r d of those before, and thus the assumptions of him being one of a kind ( after all, she had never seen such thing before. this was a first. ) then, she places her hands on her hip with a cheeky smile on her face. there was clear sarcasm to it.

hues of indigo fall from watching those of his new acquaintance, and he feels compelled to drop his hands - there were so many new things he was learning and adapting to in the capital’s city life that he hadn’t even fully considered the negatives of what he personally wanted to pursue. Still, he lets the moment of introspection pass, and with renewed vigor does he wield his twin chopsticks once more and glance directly at the waiting shopkeeper instead of at his concerned companion; there were simply some things that a man just had to do.

“ of course !! my sailor buddies told me that the Death Spice Steak here was worth it; –Mr. Owner, can we get two of those for me and her over here?”

‘ Ah uh- I don’t want any of those.’

she wasn’t such a fancy person who would eat a big slice of it, though she wouldn’t mind trying however, it was sure she wouldn’t finish it all. Though, from the small glance at the table beside them, they seem to be having that Death Spice Steak as well ... she didn’t like how it looked like. it looked quite .. good but at the same time, it wasn’t her type. instead, she stayed with her drinks and didn’t bother having nothing but juice.

‘ you’re going to have to finish it, you know that right? I’m not having any of that. ’

@douleurvie Midnight had struck, and most residents of Beacon found themselves either in the midst of a peaceful slumber, or studying restlessly in the library far into the building. Such were the reason that this time of night had been chosen for her infiltration. Her task: to receive a detailed roster of the students which attended the academy. The trials began the moment she closed a window behind her, for at that moment, footsteps were heard. A student? A teacher? A guard? A victim?

An emotionless stare beams upon the unexpected visitor. What had they seen? Asura had just entered through one of beacon’s secure windows - but was this stranger a witness? Was there a need to slay the woman who stood before her? Only patience would tell as she posed in silence, awaiting the telltale words that the blue-haired huntress might spout. Just in case, she kept a hand steady at her waist, ready to draw her spare katana in a moment’s notice.

& she wasn’t up for any studying ( as in her mind, she learned quite enough for the day ) and meanwhile, her insomnia hits her once more. It wasn’t a surprise for her. She tried going to bed again, though it hadn’t helped much. Having to wake her brother up wasn’t even a great idea either, considering he needed some rest. hence, she went out of the dorm then decided to roam around the academy. All the lights were on in the library, glancing over at the people, she noticed everyone so deeply tired but struggling to work as hard as they could. Then she walked on another female ( she doubts that the other had sleeping problems, this wasn’t quite the area where people would go as midnight struck. ) blue eyes looked around, seeing a hand steady on her hips only meant ( in her opinion, considering she had lived a lot back then. she learned a lot as well. ) the female was ready to attack anytime soon. but the act of a battle was unnecessary. her voice stayed calm, along with innocent eyes.

‘ it’s not my business but ... is there a reason you’re here, alone?’

Shit. He had been caught staring. Times were rough for the bounty hunter-for-hire. A good job that didn’t end in being double crossed had been a rarity, these days. As such, a decent meal was also out of the question. So when the young woman had sat next to him, eating a damn decent meal, his emerald orbs were almost glued to her food. There’s a sharp, short gasp from the male, before an eyebrow is quirked, shocked by her… Kindness, honestly. A calloused hand reaches for the food, taking it with a bow of his head.

“…I, uh - thank you. Um, I’m sorry. For - staring like that.”

she was never really someone to share her food with - unless you were Væren and / or were a close friend of hers. so she could consider this other male to be special? no, that wasn’t the quite word she thought of. More of, she felt UNCOMFORTABLE being in his aura. she shrugged slightly, letting it go & not saying a word. it wasn’t that bad for sharing her food, simply ... wasn’t used to it. instead, she stayed quiet & continued her own thing, leaving the male with the piece of nutrition she had offered to him.

hands cradle at his midsection, aura already attempting to heal the wound sustained in the midst of battle. he hisses sharply at the other, a wary grin on his lips as he watches her do her thing. he already knows that as soon as these fuckers were dealt with he’d probably be in for it. he raises one of his dual pistols at the moment, instead choosing to cover her back as he heals ever so slowly. he’s so intent on making sure no one else would touch her that he barely sensed a straggler. there’s a brief sound of metal sliding against metal, and before he can think it’s too late the pain blossoms from his chest —- a large blotch of crimson now staining the front of his clothes.

he curses, elbows slamming into the person behind him when they refused to back off. a strangled gasp escapes him when they twist the blade, golden eyes flaring and wide as panic quickly settles in. gods and goddesses above, why did he think this was a good idea again? he estimates the stab to be a clean one, surprisingly, but with how he was pinned moving in any way would be disastrous for him. aura depleted, the guns disperse. her name now nothing more but a whine of defeat.

‘ Sapphire… ’

‘ ... Væren ... ? ’

she was able to hear her name escape his lips; it was low, weak, showed defeat ( weakness ) - her movements stopped in that instant; not knowing what to do or to react. she was out of herself. that soft voice, it was familiar to her; the sound of death coming -- not to her but to someone close. & as her head turned away, she manages to have a glimpse look of her brother, golden eyes showed panic while her eyes was filled with hatred and pain. her brother, blade trusted in him; it’s blood dripping on the floor. thus, her eyebrows narrowed together with lips thin as a pencil. & there was her side she never dared to show ( even to her brother. she wasn’t quite she if he had seen this- violent -side of hers but there it was. there was no backing out. )

blade finished off the first male as he charged at her; then she walked slowly towards the gangs that had the blade in her brother; the sound of her swords blade was ringing around them as it scrolls against the ground. her eyes was full of pain, sadness, hurt, every emotions she felt before when everything- all tragedy that happened. Sapphire doesn’t bother using her semblance but instead, directly stabs them through their stomach, letting their body fall down on the floor. & as eyes softened, she lets her rapier fall on the floor as arms swung around Vaeren’s body catching him along with falling on her knees. & she couldn't speak correctly but only teary eyed could speak for her.

okay, maybe for a female like her eating like this wasn’t such a great thing to do. But she couldn’t blame herself, it’s been a couple of days she hasn’t eaten this much of delicious food before. The scent going through her nose, eyes blinked at the nutrition before her before taking a big bite of it. The male beside her was eyeing her the whole time ( embarrassing, to be honest. ) it wasn’t such a proper way - but who was she to blame? it’s been months now. But then her face relaxed before a smiled turned in her visage, handing over a piece to the male. As much as she was hungry, she didn’t want to seem selfish about everything; hence, she OFFERED.

& she knew that if he did something like that it wouldn’t end too well. At least, for a female who saw the good in everything - this one was the only task of the male that she thought would end badly. & she couldn’t let anything happen to him despite the fact they JUST met. Even if a person was her friend for an hour, a minute, a second- she’d want to care for that person, making sure nothing horrid happened to him or her. Death was only an option in every situation. This one, it seemed as if there was only either a scratch that could be given to the male, worse case scenario would be death but she only hoped not.
