I think the whole zombie argument re: plague is not necissarily an either-or tbh

Like religious ideology is very susceptible to interpretation, and one can argue that the One True Reading of the Plaguebringer’s survival thing is “no death, ergo no zombies/necromancy/etc” - but who’s to say a reading of “if I can’t survive in life, I’ll survive in death” isn’t valid?  Why can’t survival of the fittest extend to those who, through supernatural skills, are able to cheat death?

The idea that all Plague dragons are Proud Warrior Race Guys who nobly accept their failure when faced with The End - and there’s no faction of “okay yeah my body technically died but I’m still here aren’t I?  Checkmate Plaguebringer” ideologues around - is a needlessly narrow idea imo.  I think there’s room for both

As for the classic “can’t think and falling to pieces” zombies - well there’s not exactly a dearth of zombie films out there depicting the zombies themselves as the result of a disease - a literal Plague On Humanity - so yeah I’d say they can still count under the Plague domain (it’s just not something Plague dragons would necessarily aspire to be themselves)
