;; I figured I’d make an actual announcement on here about what’s been happening - my blogs are all moving. Jack and Janet are all getting their very own blogs and Sam is moving to bluejelloandmachineguns. 

Sam’s blog isn’t what I envisioned it to be when I first started roleplaying and my tag system is a mess so instead of spending days dicking around with deleting things to start over again, I decided to give her a new blog that’s better organized and more selective. This blog is staying in place because I love rereading old posts and I don’t want any of them to really go anywhere; I’ve set up a redirect so it’s easy to find my new blog if you’re interested.

The feeling of her nearly-nude lover pressed against her is so welcome that Sam is nearly breathless by the time she manages to pull away from Janet’s kiss. She’s been so hesitant to initiate any sort of love-making since that horrible afternoon, partly because she doesn’t want to hurt Janet and partly because she’s unsure of Janet’s comfort level with Sam seeing her naked; the signs say Janet’s really okay with this but Sam won’t go any further until she’s absolutely sure.

“I love you too,” she whispers, her hands settling on her lover’s hips again. “You know I love you, soul, and nothing’s going to change that. Are you okay with me making love to you? Because I absolutely want to show you how much I love you but I don’t want you to feel pressured.”

For a moment Janet isn’t sure if she’s irritated at Sam’s laugh or grateful for it. She realizes it’s the latter as she allows herself to smile a little, thankful that Sam is able to pull her out of her dark mental hole, even if it’s just a little bit. It’s incredible how intimate the moment feels, and she can’t help but smile a little more as she’s reminded why she’s so deeply in love with this woman.

“I resent the fact that you think I’ll be waddling,” she replies softly, giving her love a small, but genuine smile, “You’ll have to roll me around like the girl that turned into a blue berry in Willy Wonka.”

“I don’t think you’ll be waddling, I know it,” Sam retorts, sliding her other hand from Janet’s hip to her stomach to hold her closer. “You’re so tiny that this little bean is going to make you look like you’re smuggling a basketball under your shirt and I can’t wait to see you like that.” It’s true; her excitement for Janet’s pregnancy is growing exponentially every day and she’s very much looking forward to being able to watch Janet grow.

“Come to bed and let me show you how much I love you,” she whispers, her lips trailing down Janet’s neck to her shoulder. She places a soft kiss to the bare skin there and sets her chin on her lover’s shoulder as she smiles. “Come let me show you how much I love your body and how much I want you.”

Faintly she squeezes Sam’s hand, licking her lips as she tries to remember exactly what happened. The terror she had felt when Richard had found them caught up in an intimate moment together was something she was never going to forget, and what had directly followed was clear in her mind. But sometime during his abuse, it started to all blur together, and Janet’s not entirely sure that she might not have passed out at some point. One thing is for certain- she’s glad it’s Sam at her bedside now, and not Richard. The thought of him makes her frown and she wonders exactly where he is, though she can only hope that if he’s not here, he’s locked up somewhere. 

“What happened?” she asks, her voice hoarse.

Sam stands long enough to sit herself on the edge of the bed, perching next to Janet’s hip. She’s not sure what her lover remembers from that afternoon but she suspects it’s more than enough, if the frown on the brunette’s face is anything to go by. Sam won’t ever forget the seething fear that came with being forced to leave her lover at the mercy of Richard but she pushes the emotion back - she’ll deal with it later - and focuses entirely on Janet.

“I called Jack O’Neill after I left the house and told him what was going on. He came over as fast as he could and when he got there, we called the cops and then came back in.” She has to stop to force the emotions back again - the sight that greeted her in that bedroom is one she’ll never be able to get out of her mind - before she can speak again. “Jack dealt with Richard and I used my field medic training to try to help you until the ambulance came.”

"Excuse me, I'm looking for my mother. Maybe you've seen her? She's sassy, mischievous, occasionally nosy... Sound familiar?"

“Hmmm….I don’t know. Why are you looking for her?”

“Oh, you know, I haven’t sassed her recently.” Sam sighs dramatically and lets her shoulders slump. “I’m worried that shes forgotten all about me.”

Her body reacts on its own, immediately relaxing against the strong warm body behind her, her fingers lacing with Sam’s. “I’m starting to show,” she sighs softly, her focus on the swell of her belly, before finally dragging up to watch Sam’s face in the mirror. 

In all of the turmoil and chaos that her life had been for the past several months, through it all, Sam had been her rock, her constant. Every time Janet felt like she couldn’t face the changes in her life, every time she felt like giving up, Sam had been there, keeping her going and at least functioning. 

“I’m not going to be able to fit into my clothes.”

She laughs before she can stop herself, though she doesn’t want to hide her emotions from the her lover. Letting herself look at her lover’s body for another moment, Sam finally looks up and meets Janet’s eyes in her reflection. “You’re definitely starting to show,” she agrees with a nod and her smile grows. “Like I said, you look beautiful.”

She moves their hands from Janet’s hip to rest on her little belly and she kisses her lover’s neck lightly. “We’ll go shopping this afternoon and you can give me a little fashion show,” she teases, unwilling to make this conversation heavy; they’ve had enough heavy emotions in the last few months to last a lifetime and she’s determined to help Janet see that this isn’t the end of the world. “Y’know, I’m very excited to watch you grow and waddle around.”

She stands in front of the full length mirror in nothing but her underwear as she stares at her reflection. Her hands ghost over her stomach, which is just starting to bulge out slightly. It's not enough that anyone will notice once she has her clothes on, though she knows she'll notice how much tighter they fit, but bare like this there is no denying that she is pregnant.

There’s been silence from the bedroom for a worryingly long time; Sam knows that her lover’s been having trouble acclimating and adjusting to the drastic changes in her life - especially the pregnancy. It’s a cruel and lasting legacy from Richard and Sam’s noticed that Janet seems to be ignoring the whole situation; the blonde knows she has to help her lover work through the emotions that come with the pregnancy or the brunette will never heal.

She decides to go find her missing lover and talk to her but when she opens the door, the sight of Janet standing in front of the mirror brings her up short. Sam doesn’t really want to interrupt whatever’s going on but she can’t stop herself from stepping into the room. Moving quietly and quickly, she moves to stand behind Janet and gently rests her hands on her lover’s hips. “You look beautiful,” she whispers, her eyes trailing over Janet’s form to settle on the small swell of her belly. “Absolutely beautiful.”

Everything feels foggy and distant as she slowly rises to consciousness. She hears a familiar voice, Sam’s voice, and vaguely she feels the corners of her lips tug up. But then she feels pain in almost every part of her body, and she lets out a faint groan before her eyes flutter open. Or well, one eye does anyway. The other is swollen shut.

“Sam,” she wheezes softly as she slowly focuses in on the figure hovering over her. “Heart.”

“Oh thank god,” Sam breathes, tears welling in her eyes as she stares down at the beloved face of the woman she adores more than life itself. The hand not wrapped around Janet’s lifts to carefully brush the brunette’s bangs to the side and she has to wait for the lump in her throat to disappear before she she can speak again.

“I’m so glad to see you, Janet.” Her eyes trail over Janet’s poor battered face and she blinks away the persistent tears that won’t go away. “I’m so sorry it took so long to get you out of there,” she whispers. “We came in as quickly as we could and it was almost too late. I’m so sorry, soul.”

There’s a soft grumbling as Janet feels a hand sliding under the fabric of her tank top and shorts, rolling over to cuddle into her wife’s chest, continuing her grumbling.

“It’s still dark, why’re you awake?” she mumbles, pressing a soft kiss to Sam’s neck anyway.

“Because I was watching you sleep and couldn’t stop admiring you,” Sam whispers with a smile. “You’re so beautiful and I don’t think I tell you that enough.” Her head tilts just enough to give her wife room to kiss her neck and her hands don’t stop moving over delicious and familiar curves.

“We should call in sick and play hooky today.” Her right hand slips up to cup Janet’s breast as she dips her head enough to catch Janet’s lips with her own. Her thumb strokes the soft swell in her hand and she smiles into the kiss. “I love you.”

Janet beams brightly at the news of her spouse’s soon-to-be promotion, pulling him down to excitedly press her lips against his once more. “Sam that’s great!” she exclaims as she pulls back a bit to look him in the eyes. “You’ve earned it, heart,” she adds softly, smiling as her hand slides up to rest on his jaw, her thumb caressing his cheek. 

She looks into Sam’s eyes for a moment before slowly pulling him back down to her once more, this time for a slower, more deliberate kiss. Gradually she deepens the kiss as she pulls him closer, and in turn presses up into him. When they’re forced to pause for air, she barely pulls back to mumble a soft “Take me to bed?” against her lover’s lips.

“I’ve heard through the stunningly accurate grapevine at the base that a certain doctor is being promoted too,” he says slyly, his face serious for all of a second before he can’t hide his smile any more. “We’ve given so much to the Air Force, soul, and I think we've earned the right to have our own lives. Plus it helps that Jack gave his approval.”

Sam returns her kiss enthusiastically and pulls his wife close, his arms wrapping around her waist entirely as he smiles into the kiss. When Janet whispers her quiet plea, he slides one arm down as he bends his knees and scoops his wife off her feet to carry her to bed. “As you wish, madame.”
