What do his ear perk up at? Private affection? Certainly is enough to make him swivel back around to face her. While he is still glaring his internal clockwork is soaring in a very pleasant function. Everything feels as though he has won something. Hm. Perhaps that is not the correct way to put it.
She is a prize. That is clear.
“Did you know how lovely you appear when angry?” Sixty noticed it once before. She is rather attractive. Why else would he be interested in her so?
Sixty mulls over her proposition. “I suppose I should have waited,” he agrees to an extent. “Though you do make it difficult.” Admitting she has an effect on him is a truth even he could not realize. Until the moment it poured from his lips right then of course. “You are correct. I do not care what others think but - I care what you think.”
His smile is a lure. He lowers his voice and speaks closer. “I will keep things separate. If you agree to date me. Would that suit you?”

Her eyes widen at his proposition. “D-Date you? Where did you- I-”
Dating someone? Isles has never been good at dating. Or showing any sort of what could be considered soft emotions. The prospect of it scares her. She lowers her gaze.
“R-Relationships are so much work and I... I’m not good at...” Her cheeks start to turn pink. “My longest relationship was literally two months, okay? You... you don’t know what you’re asking. I’m a terrible girlfriend. I don’t know how to be a girlfriend. I’m not saying I wouldn’t try but...”
Finally she meets his eyes. “Is that... really what you want?”
“Connor?” he chuckled. “Oh I see. That is because Connor is hardly a viable option to woo someone.” While they may not be entirely true, Sixty will not let him gain any spotlight. After all it is the successor model showing Isles what he truly wants. No one else has the balls.
He reaches for her hand. “You wound me to question whether I am capable of love or not.” His eyes flash. A spurt of anger douses his eternal flame for her. As momentary as this disagreement may be it still stings. He is not fond of her words!
“I care for you. Whether you believe that or not is up to you. Considering I am just a piece of plastic to you it appears my interest is for naught.”
The RK800 steps away from her. As much as he would rather continue this intimacy he is not going to stand for insults. Capable of love. How dare she accuse him of being fake!?
“I assumed you enjoyed my company. Allow me to never make that mistake again, Detective Turney. You love my professional predecessor so much… you date him then.”

Isles furrows her brows, anger rising. She has to work hard to shove it down and not lose herself like she’s been known to do. Therapy seems to be working so far.
“You’re putting words into my mouth and you’re being dramatic. I don’t love him. That’s not a word I use lightly. And I never said you’re just a piece of plastic to me.”
She takes a deep breath to keep herself calm. “What I’m saying is that I didn’t appreciate your public display of affection in my workplace. It makes me uncomfortable and it makes everyone around us uncomfortable. You might not care but I do!”
Isles gets the feeling Sixty is about to walk away from her. She doesn’t want that, despite her insult of him earlier. With her voice lowered, she steps slightly closer to him. “But if you want private affection, I’m willing.”

I’m the hardest person to love. I’m combative. And defensive. And insecure. But I’m also fiercely loyal. And if you stay, I will protect you before I ever think to protect myself.
