Someone made a tennis racquet case. We also 3D printed some risers for the pickups on a bass.
Girls Who Code taking a break to play with robots. Who runs the world? Girls.
And the winner is... Ryan! Congrats Ryan on winning the ideaLAB RPG Maker Contest! Ryan won with his awesome RPG A Thief’s Tale. Check it out (and his many other stellar games!) on his website spiralgamesonline.com
Check out this rad Arduino project by Daniel, a loyal Adult Open Lab attendee. He’s even been nice enough to share his source code:
#define COMMON_ANODE
int pins[][3] = { {1, 5, 9}, {2, 6, 10}, {3, 7, 11}, {4, 8, 12} };
void setup() { for(int i = 1; i <= 12; i++){ pinMode(i, OUTPUT); } }
void loop() { // put your main code here, to run repeatedly: for (int i = 0; i < 4; i++){ setColor( i, 255, 0, 0); delay(1000); } for (int i = 0; i < 4; i++){ setColor( i, 0, 255, 0); delay(1000); } for (int i = 0; i < 4; i++){ setColor( i, 0, 0, 255); delay(1000); } }
void setColor(int led, int red, int green, int blue){ #ifdef COMMON_ANODE red = 255 - red; blue = 255 - blue; green = 255 - green; #endif analogWrite(pins[led][0], red); analogWrite(pins[led][1], green); analogWrite(pins[led][2], blue); }

Oh, hey--it’s a pinhole camera that we printed in ideaLAB!

The Snowy Day Cardboard Automata. It was, in fact, a snowy day! So glad families came out to share the fun!
The Snowy Day Cardboard Automata. Snowball Fight for the win, IMO, but some pretty ingenious Knights of the Realm as well.
A bit of soldering in Adult Open Lab tonight.
Today was holgaroid day in the lab - the ever-awesome Kellie showed us these amazing Holgas she added a polaroid film carrier onto, and then we went shooting. Drop in the next three Mondays to get your chance to play with them and make your own terrifying ghost images. Or the best high school portrait ever. You choose.
Nice looking pillow sewn during Adult Open Lab this evening.
