Flying to Paris for the opening of my Art Gallery. Addison's going to handle my cases until I'm back. Love you all, xoxoxox
We Have to Talk || Bette & Tina
Bette had been pacing in the kitchen trying to hold back tears. She was going to have to be strong for Tina, for Angie, for all of them. She knew her partner would possibly break down and had spent many hours in the on-call room preparing herself for this. Her reaction was confusing to Arizona. The brunette had simply nodded and replied "Well, we'll get her started on treatments immediately" then walked out of the lab. Afterwards she had totally collapsed in the on-call room and now here she was.
It was late at night and Tina was sleeping with Angie in her arms. Bette had just came home from the hospital and hadn't went to bed yet. The brunette repeated how she would tell her partner that their daughter had acute lymphoma leukemia. She knew the blonde would possibly blame herself since she was an oncologist. Or she could blame Bette for not caring enough to pay more attention to the fact it could have been something so horrible. Bette did blame herself, she had been so sure that it was just a bug or something but no, it was aggressive cancer that children died from everyday.
Arizona paced around an empty on-call room as she waited for Callie to arrive so they could go deliver the overwhelming sadness of results they had for Bette and her family. Arizona thought of eight hundred different ways to say this to them, say how their lives we’re falling apart. But, she…
Callie had run at a sprint when she got the text. This was it. Her heart broke for Bette, for Tina, for their little girl… and for Arizona, too, who could barely handle being in the hospital at all, let alone this. As they walked together, she squeezed her hand tightly, doing what she could to hold her together as she saw her talking to herself, going over what to say in her head. When they got to Bette, Arizona had all but stopeed breathing, and Callie wrapped her arm around her wife’s shoulder, hoping to restore some calm to her, and the panicked look on her face. She had to be strong for both of them right now. And that is what she would do.
Bette was calmly waiting in the lab for Arizona to appear. She knew the results had to be fine. What where the chances of it being something horrific? Tina was being over dramatic but that's what great mothers did. She wanted to get home and take care of her family. The brunette was so thrilled she finally had her life back. It was all coming together now. She had Tina back home with her, a great job, a terrific daughter, and an amazing best friend. Bette promised herself she wouldn't ever do something to destroy that again, not when she learned how fragile life was. When she saw Arizona and her wife walk in, she gave them her signature smile. The blonde looked worried, had something happened today? Bette shrugged it off and waited for her friend to admit the results. "I'm so glad you could meet me here and I'm so sorry Tina bothered you on your day off to do this. She's really over dramatic but a great mother" she said thankfully.
(text) When are you going to come home B? It's kind of late and Angie's only getting worse. I miss you, I need you.
(text) I'm going to go speak with Arizona and I'll be home really soon, I promise T.
Bette hadn’t ate in days and she had some time on her hands between surgeries. The brunette thought it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to go grab something to eat. After finishing up some paperwork, she grabbed her cell and walked towards the cafeteria. Bette scanned over the...
Bette took a bite of her sandwich and nodding. Everyone was wonderful but she hadn't met everyone yet just heard about them. She swallowed and replied "Yeah everyone is wonderful. What about you? How are you liking Seattle in contrast to Los Angeles?" she asked wondering what had brought the woman here.
I need food. ||Addison & Bette.
Bette hadn't ate in days and she had some time on her hands between surgeries. The brunette thought it wouldn't be such a bad idea to go grab something to eat. After finishing up some paperwork, she grabbed her cell and walked towards the cafeteria. Bette scanned over the room looking for anyone she could talk to. Arizona was still off and Hunt was somewhere. Then she spotted Addison eating alone, the brunette got her a sandwich and went to greet the redhead. "Hey, do you mind if I sit?" she asked politely with her signature Porter grin.
Meeting with an artist. Remind me again why I juggle TWO jobs? Am I a work-a-holic? :O
Carla Marie Freed photographed the same woman for twelve years. I mean, can you imagine that? That act of looking, looking and seeing and re-seeing, just trying to get to the truth of someone. I mean there is incredible mystery and passion in that, you know?
I can’t believe I just inseminated a woman with type 2 osteogenesis imperfecta. Ugh, if she only hadn’t fed my ego. Anyways I think it was a success we’ll just have to wait and see.
Wow…sounds amazing!
Yeah but there’s a...
I will, I could seriously use the help. Thanks Dr. Grey!
Trauma Room 1
As soon as the brunette received the page, she took off down the hallway. She did't even bother to finish her lunch. Bette ran into the trauma room as fast as she could and asked the chief "What do we have Dr. Hunt?"

Yeah but there's a very high risk factor that the baby will have the same disease. We're looking at going into early labor and a premie with serious complications.

April Kepner, MD: When You Think You Have The Day Off || April & Bette
April Kepner, MD: dr-betteporter: April Kepner, MD: When You Think You Have The Day Off…
Bette took her time using the ultrasound and going over every inch of the woman's uterus. She looked for any signs of bleeding or damage. However, no harm was done to the unborn child. "She's lucky" the brunette said doing a quick examination of the mother's stomach. "Okay, the baby is fine for now. We need to get her to a burn unit or something" she said and paged a nurse. "We're done here for now Kepner. You're a great trauma surgeon" Bette said giving the young woman a grin and then began walking to her office. She had a big case today.
(text) If she's not any better by the time you get here we're taking her to Arizona or the hospital. This ISN'T just a flu she's pale and is having a hard time breathing.
(text) okay, okay T. We'll get her checked out. Although, I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to be poked and prodded like a lab experiment today.
